How to collect guest reviews
Guest reviews are an extremely effective, free marketing tool that can go a long way in enhancing the performance of a holiday home advert. They help to build trust and add authenticity to your online listing, reassuring people that others have enjoyed holidays at your home and that you have acted upon their feedback.
The more reviews you have on your advert, the more likely a future guest is to enquire about your home. Some guests may go on to write a review of their own accord but it's also a good idea to actively solicit them yourself to get as many reviews as possible.
It’s quick and easy to send review requests from your Holiday Lettings Home Management page:
Log into your account and click on the 'Reviews' button on your Home Management page.
Go to the 'Collect Reviews' tab.
From here you can collect reviews by sending an invite to any guests who have stayed at your property.
Contacting all of your previous guests to leave a review is a great way of encouraging them to book another holiday with you.
If you have the time, you could send a personalised email to each guest. Many of our advertisers tell us that they have the biggest uptake when requesting reviews this way. This is because the email comes directly from you, so they will probably recognise your email address. Guests that have a great time really want to give their feedback and if you’re asking them to do so directly, they will be more inclined to go ahead and write a review. You can include a 'quicklnk' to our advert in the email. As an example, you could write something like:
Dear [insert guest's name here],
Thank you for staying at our home in [location here]. It was lovely to accommodate you and we do hope you enjoyed your stay.
We would really appreciate it if you could spare some time to write a review of your holiday on our advert at the following link: http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/[insert advert number here]. Simply click on ‘write a review’ at the top of the page to write your review via TripAdvisor. It doesn’t take long to do and we would love to receive your comments as it helps us to keep improving our service.
