This authentic, Mediterranean house is situated within few minutes of walk from the sea, in the vibrant island center with bars, restaurants, fresh produce stand, grocery store, etc., yet its pretty quiet street, orientation and gated garden give it a sense of refuge and privacy.

DETAILED HOUSE DESCRIPTION:

The house consists of a ground floor with kitchen, dining and relaxing area and a bathroom with shower and laundry. It is called 'konoba' due to its traditional looking interior with walls of stone which keeps it naturally cool even in warm temperatures. The view from there is a relaxing one- at the garden, cypress trees and green, sun-soaked hill Klepac. It is accompanied by characteristic sound of crickets in hot summer sun and divine fragrance of indigenous plants from our garden.

There is an additional toilet outdoors, hidden from views and outdoor solar heated shower.

An elegant external staircase leads to an upper terrace with an entrance to the first floor rooms and the loft above. The terrace is an ideal place for breakfasts or late night conversations, perhaps along a bottle of wine.

The first floor consists of a smaller double bedroom furnished with simple, old fashioned furniture with a window overlooking the garden, and a newly built toilet.

The second bedroom is in the loft just above the first floor- a spacious room containing a large double bed, crib and relaxing area for two, surrounded by antique furniture and details and what was, in old times, a cooking fireplace (nowadays out of use).

This truly is a beautiful yet unpretentious traditional house, with random small imperfections adding a charm and honesty to it.

The Dalmatia region

Zlarin is a small island of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia near the mainland city of Šibenik. It is one of few islands on the Adriatic Sea that do not allow access to cars. It is very green with crystal-clear waters and rich tradition

Zlarin is famous for its corals and it has a workshop where corals are being treated in a traditional way, hand-made; and two coral shops.

THE BEACHES

Island's beaches with crystal-clear water are diverse, from those covered in pebbles, partly sandy to the rocky ones in the untouched nature, so pick your favourite.

GASTRO

The Island has several restaurants/taverns and bars. We recommend Tavern Aldura, Tavern Prslika and Restaurant Ivana. They are all within 3-10 mins walk from the house.

Zlarin Island

Zlarin is a small, charming place and everything is easily accessed just by walking. We are located in a pretty quiet street, within few mins of walk from the sea, in the vibrant island center with bars, restaurants, fresh produce stand, grocery store, children playground, etc. Most of the places in Zlarin are really within 15 minute reach at the most!
