Haus Vallverde is a modern apartment (110 m2) located in a beautiful position close to the old chapel in Winkelmatten, a tranquil area on the outskirts of Zermatt. The view of the Matterhorn from the apartment is simply stunning.

The terrace of the apartment leads onto a very well maintained garden where the view of the Matterhorn is one of the best in Zermatt. There is a dining table and chairs on the tarrace in the summer for eating alfresco with the Matterhorn as the perfect back-drop.

Haus Vallverde is a modern three bedroom apartment comprising, two doubles and one triple. Baby cots are available for Chf 50 per week including bed linen and towel.
There are two bathrooms one is en-suite to the Master double bedroom, (bath/shower/WC). The second bathroom (shower/WC) is located conveniently for the other two bedrooms. Both bathrooms have heated towels racks for your convenience. Both bathrooms also have hairdryers available.

There is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, raclette and fondue etc...), that leads to a spacious dining/lounge area, leading to the south facing terrace and garden with spectacular views of the Matterhorn. The dining table comfortably seats 8.

This apartment is uniquely furnished to a very high standard with comfortable and luxurious modern furnishings, and is equipped with a plasma television with cable channels (multi-lingual programmes), DVD, CD/Radio, iPod docking station and has wireless internet connection.

There is a supermarket, restaurants and local bus stop just a two minute walk away and 8 minute walk away is the Matterhorn cable car departure station. There are skiing and hiking trails right on your doorstep.

Haus Vallverde 1 is next to Vallverde 2 in the same building making them ideal for a larger group or for more than one family that are travelling together but do not necessarily want to stay together. Vallverde has its own enclosed garden which is immediately accessible from both apartments and is perfect for children as an additional space.

Care has been taken with all of apartments to ensure that they are equipped so that they are attractive but are practical and friendly for all, making them ideal for friends and families alike. Good quality furnishings have been used but there are no 'irreplaceable' antiques to worry about if you have small children.

There are 4 official languages spoken in Switzerland and in the canton of 'Valais' both German & French are spoken.

With it's superb transportation system, Switzerland is an ideal place from which to explore in any direction. Whether travelling on foot or by rail, bus, car or boat you will be surrounded by spectacular views.

You will find the highest mountains in Europe here in the Alps, among which the impressive Matterhorn and the Dufourspitze, 4,634 m (15,203 ft) are the highest point in the country. The Mont Blanc lies just across the French/Italian border and is the highest mountain in Western Europe (4,807 m, 15,771 ft).

A trip not to missed is the Glacier express which links Zermatt and St. Moritz by rail which passes through 91 tunnels and crosses nearly 300 bridges.

Zermatt

The car free resort of Zermatt is situated at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland and offers access to a ski area of over 400km, connected to Cervinia in Italy. “Stunning!”

This apartment has it all: A really convenient location for walking or skiing, stunning views of the Matterhorn from the private garden and living room and it's immaculately clean. At night it's quiet and the beds are perfect for a great sleep. On arrival the apartment has a full bowl of fruit, coffee for the machine and a great selection of tea. The kitchen has everything you'll need for your stay, plus there's plenty of coal and lighters if you want to fire up the BBQ. A truly chilled out place to stay after a day of walking or skiing - Brilliant!
