Location description from owner
The Salzburg Region
Zell am See lies in the Central Alps, south of Salzburg and east of Kitzbuel. The Dientener Berge mountains rise skyward from across the lake, but the really big stuff is to the south and east, in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Near Kaprun to the south is the 3000+ m Kitzsteinhorn with its glacier that provides all year round skiing. Even further to the south is the Grossglockner with its massive 3797m peaks.Zell am See itself is a fascinating medieval town nestling on the west side of the lake. It is almost completely surrounded by mountains but still easily reached by mainline train or road. Zell am See and Kaprun have teamed up to create the large Zell am See/Kaprun skiing region which features glacier, down-hill, snow parks and gentle nursery slopes. The area now offers 130 km of piste connected through 60 cable cars and chair lifts plus cross-country skiing tracks, winter and summer walking and cycling trails, Ice skating, mountain biking, paragliding and almost every other kind of outdoor activity which is probably why it has been named the Europasport-region.

- Very Good
“A great place in a great location for a winter holiday.”
Beautifully appointed and very comfortable apartment with fantastic south facing views catching the afternoon sun. Very well located for the Zell am See and Kaprun ski areas both downhill and cross country. Convenient for the bus and local train but easier with a car particularly for supermarket runs.
