“Beautiful house, wonderful stay.”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2016

We had a wonderful stay in this house in Ieper. The accommodation is very comfortable and beautifully designed. The owners are very helpful and friendly and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to Ieper. The location is perfect and is within easy walking distance to all the main attractions in the town.

“Comfortable accommodation in good location”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2016

We stayed for three nights in December and this accommodation couldn't have been better for four adults. There was off street parking, close to the centre of the town and not far from supermarkets. Communication with the owners was excellent and we were greeted warmly with clear instructions on the use of the house on arrival. The house was well equipped. The charges for heating etc. were not exorbitant and reasonable for the time of year. WiFi was good as it has become a necessity when we travel.

“Ideal property for visiting Ypres”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2015

Lovely property with character ideally situated a short walk from the centre of Ypres with the added benefit of a parking space behind the house. The house was very clean on arrival and the owners very welcoming and helpful. We had a comfortable stay and the house has all the amenities that we needed, which was to cook breakfast as we ate out each evening in the town where there is plenty of choice. That is not to say that we could not have quite easily prepared evening meals there. Beds are comfortable and fixtures and fittings of a high standard, the only slight oddity was the rather open layout of the bathroom on the upper floor but this did not really cause us any problems. Overall all of our party enjoyed themselves and would happily return in the future.

“Fantastic house in a great location”

We had a wonderful stay in Ypres - the location of the property is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from the main square where there are plenty of good and reasonably priced restaurants. The house itself is lovely - plenty of space for 6 even though there were just 2 of us! Kitchen was well-equipped if you did want to cook in the evenings. Good shower facilities and the bed was so comfortable. The courtyard garden was a bonus as was the secured parking. Fien and Kristof are very welcoming and as they only live next door, are there if you need them. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area and the cycle routes are also really rewarding.

“Great location with friendly and knowledgeable owners”

Reviewed 16 Jul 2015

We had a lovely week staying here with our teenage son. The house is in a great location for walking into the town centre. There is much to see in Ypres and surrounding areas. You will be spoilt for choice for places to eat-something to cater for all budgets. Italian ice cream shop and waffles opposite the Cloth Hall are a must ! Passchendale museum at Zonnebroke is excellent-very interactive with the tunnels and trenches. A mere 5 minute walk around the corner is the Kazematten brewery (in the casements) open Saturday afternoons 3-5pm for tours and tastings. You can try Wipers Times beer here and it is well worth a visit. If visiting the In Flanders Field Museum in the cloth Hall bear in mind that the Belfrey tower can only be accessed in conjunction with a museum ticket so do the two together. Plenty to see- we shall have to return for another visit. Fien and Kristoff were extremely friendly and pleasant hosts. Would recommend.

“Ideal location, Kristoff couldnt do enough to make our stay memorable”

Owners were extremly helpful and kept in contact and answered any queries promptly. Was a little sceptical about paying deposit for electricity but deposit was refunded promptly. House was clean and everything there that we needed. Only down side was that on the floor with 2 bedrooms there was no bathroom and had to go to ground floor for this or up a floor, didnt find this too much of a problem Location was perfect only a few minutes walk to the Menin gate and the secure parking an added bonus. Would not hesitate to book again

“Perfect...will hopefully stay there again in the near future”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2015

I stayed with four friends with the intention of exploring the battlefields. This was our fourth time out, having previously stayed in the Somme area and this time didn't disapoint either. Our accommodation was all we could ask for, only a short walking distance down the road from the Menin Gate, where we attended numerous Last Post Ceremonys in the evenings during our week there. We were shown round the property on arrival, which was just as described and pictured on the website. Very close to the centre of Ypres and all local amenities. The private and secure parking space for our hire car was a bonus. Could not reccommend enough. Will hopefully stay there again.

“Great property with secure parking”

Very comfortable house within easy walking distance of the town and the Menin Gate. The ramparts are also just outside the front door, Very well equipped and the sauna was a wecome addition,

(We bezochten o.a. Tyne Cot Cemetery). Kortom: de ideale woning voor een weekend vol ontspanning, cultuur en vrienden en/of familie!

“Extremely comfortable and well equipped apartment”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

Ieper is a beautiful city and this apartment provided the perfect place to explore the history of the area but also to enjoy a lovely city. The apartment is bright and well equipped. The owner, Kristof, was a pleasure to deal with.
