Description

The Old Forge is a tranquil detached house with a garden in the centre of South Bank, in a well-hidden street. I promise you'll get a really quiet night's sleep!

It's 10 minutes from the race course or the trendy Bishy Road high street, or 20 minutes from the station and centre of York.

It's perfect for a family break, sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 bunk). The conservatory and garden are south facing, great for summer nights with friends or family. You can even bring your dogs!

The kitchen & lounge space is a great family area, with a 32" TV, sofa & comfortable arm chair, and French windows lighting the room up.

For sunny weather, there's a bijou south-facing garden & conservatory so you can make the most of the sun, with a stylish G-Plan table & chairs, as well as outdoor furniture. Or you can get on with your work in a flood of daylight, whatever the weather. In warm weather, fling all the doors open and

Upstairs, there is a double bedroom with wardrobe, a single bedroom with bunks and shared bathroom with shower & bath. (there's also a downstairs toilet).

Outside there's a secure metal bike shed, and access all around the property for kids or dogs to run in circles, safely fenced in. There's also two dedicated parking spaces at either of the property (though NB access down Trafalgar Court is narrow, especially for 4x4s - just take it slowly!).

The whole house is heated by a Nest thermostat, and there's 40Mb wireless broadband available to keep you in touch with your office, Netflix or iPlayer :)

South Bank is a really great area of York - it's only 10 minutes walk to York Racecourse or the river (both great for dog walks when there's a race day), 15 to Bishopthorpe Road shops and 20 minutes walk into town.
