A beautiful Edwardian 3 bedroom house in an ideal location and just 10 minute walk from the city center with free on street parking.

A private walled patio garden with decking, a built in BBQ and table and chairs for 6 people. The garden has tennis courts behind making it a peaceful and quiet sun trap in the summer and a perfect setting for alfresco dining or a few drinks before strolling into town to enjoy the bars and restaurants that York has to offer.

Among the usual amenities, shops and pubs etc there are basketball courts and a local bowling green which are free to use.

House consists of:

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance hall

Lounge - large corner sofa, 2 armchairs and a log burner (logs supplied)

Dining room - table and chairs for 6 people

Kitchen - fully fitted with electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer

Shower room - shower and toilet

Garden - walled patio garden with dining table

“Beautiful house in a quiet neighbourhood, very close to city centre”

This is a beautiful house in a lovely quiet part of York. We stayed here in October (when the trees around and in York were at their autumnal best!) and had such a comfortable stay. As a family of 7 (mother, father, 3 children under 10, baby and granny!) we had plenty of room and didn't feel crowded in any way. The house has been tastefully decorated and is simple in terms of furnishings. No clutter. Wonderful! The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage room. And the bathroom is lovely! Within easy walking distance of York (20 mins max - family speed!) it is in an ideal location. Situated off the main road and by a park (ideal for children), there is plenty of parking on the street. The owner, Claire, was so friendly and helpful from our first enquiry to our last (a treasured teddy was left behind and kindly sent back to us) and answered all our emails promptly. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and will most definately be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay xx

Very nicely presented and well thought out self-catering accommodation. We were a group of five covering 3 generations and we all loved it. Quiet location and a nice sunny garden for our breakfast. Walked into town on two occasions, took a taxi on another.

We stayed for 5 nights in this lovely Victorian terraced house. It's situated in a quiet residential street only 20 minutes walk from York city centre. We were very impressed with the house which is tastefully decorated and was ideal as a base for our family holiday with our daughter, son in law and new baby. The house was very clean and the decor fresh. This is such a big plus for me because website photos can sometimes be decieving, we have in the past been disappointed with shoddy, tired decor. I can honestly say this house was like a home from home. The beds were comfortable with crisp white bedding and the towels white and fluffy. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed for the evenings we ate in. The garden was perfect for pre dinner drinks and also had a retractable washing line which was handy for drying baby clothes. The bathroom is probably one of the nicest rooms in the house with a lovely roll top bath and a good shower. We would highly recommend this house for a holiday in York, just be aware the steep staircase to the upper floors may not suit everyone.

Had a great stay at this lovely property. The location is great..we loved being close to the city walls (only 10 min walk) yet it's quiet enough that we found it really peaceful..the patio area at the back was lovely for a G&T before heading out for dinner! The decor throughout the house is beautiful and the bathroom is gorgeous..especially the large roll top bath! It was also great having free parking as York can be a bit tricky for parking. We found a Morrisons close by so that was very handy for our basic shop too. I would definitely stay in this house again, it was like a home from home! Very good service from the owner too.
