Description

Parkview Chase is a modern light airy semi- detached 3 story townhouse situated on the outskirts of York just inside the outer ring road. Furnished to a high standard and situated in a quiet residential area with numerous children's play areas near by. The house is an ideal base for families and couples to explore York and the surrounding area.

The house is set out over three floors with a generous master en suite bedroom located on the top floor. The en suite has a walk in shower, wc and basin. The second double bedroom is on the first floor at the front of the house over looking open play areas. The main bathroom and twin bedroom are also on this floor. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, wc and basin. There is a further wc to the ground floor. All bathrooms are stocked with liquid hand soap and have hygienically tiled floors. All bedrooms have wardrobes and bed side cabinets, the master bedroom has a wall mounted tv with freesat.

On the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. We supply you with washing up liquid, surface cleaner, dish cloth and tea towels. The lounge/dining room looks out over the private rear garden. In the lounge you will find a wide screen TV with sky basic package and freesat and a dvd player. There is a large selection of dvd's suitable for all ages. A children's toy box, plenty of games and books should keep the little ones busy.

We have two bed guards. one stairgate, one travel cot, one stand alone high chair and a booster seat that attaches to a dining chair. These items are free for you to use as required. You will also find an iron, ironing board and clothes airer.

In the garden is a bbq and a table with seating for 6. The garden is completely enclosed so its safe to leave the children to play and has an outside clothes line. There is off street parking for 1 or 2 cars depending on size but plenty of parking in the street next to the house.

There is free WIFI through out the house.

Parkview Chase is now complimented by Squires house our new holiday home is located on the same street sleeping 7.

The park and ride is located half a mile away, this is the best way to travel into the city with a very frequent service .

Vue cinema, ten pin bowling, various restaurants and a shopping retail park at Clifton Moor is a short walk away or half a mile by road.

The Lysander Arms is an excellent public house only 200 yards away with a great restaurant and outside seating and play area.

Very handy for York ring road to access nearby attractions such as Eden Camp, Castle Howard, Scarborough and many other areas of interest.

Please note that although all bed linen is provided we DO NOT SUPPLY TOWELS, however, if specifically requested towels can be arranged for a small extra charge.

Please note that out of respect for our neighbours we do not accept bookings from stag and hen parties. Unless by prior arrangement we may request a refundable cash deposit on arrival to cover any damage caused.

The house is strictly non smoking.

Getting around

The Rawcliff Bar park and ride is just 1/2 a mile from the house. The busses run every 10 minuets and takes approximately 10 minuets into the city center.

“Family weekend in York”

Based on other people's reviews picking this house was an easy one. Before we arrived we had great communications with the owners. On arrival we were greeted buy Karen, a lovely lady who explained everything that we needed to know. She left us a home baked lemon drizzle cake which was quickly devowed when the rest of the family arrived later. The house was clean, tidy and warm. The house was accurately advertised. There was no shortage of anything. We would have no hesitation in recommending this house. Thank you for providing a lovely base for our family weekend in York

The communication and warmth from the owner is excellent. Rooms were good size and tidy. Location is very perfect for our purpose as it is not too far way from York City Centre but with the serenity and calmness of being out of town centre. Within 10 - 15 mins drive to most places. We were also welcomed with a nice piece of home- baked cake. Thank you again for this.

Had a fabulous stay here, Karen couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. The house is perfect for a family, I took my elderly parents, partner and kids and it was brilliant. Plenty of space, very well equipped with toys and DVD’s for the kids. A lovely homemade cake was there for us and tea and coffee. We took a ten minute stroll to Rawcliffe park and ride into the city, which was ideal and cheap too at £10 for the six of us for a day ticket. Fabulous place, we will be back.

We stayed in York for the weekend for the Masters graduation ceremony for our daughter. Park View Chase was perfect for our stay. The house is beautiful and very cosy. Mum loved her bedroom with en-suite on the top floor. The house is very close to The Lysander Arms pub where we had two lovely meals. Park View Chase is easy to find, is in a very quiet location and has all the lovely home comforts you need. We will definitely stay again and would highly recommend Park View Chase to family and friends.

Lovely homemade cake on arrival. Very clean and well maintained. Close to Park & Ride or short taxi journey into York. We all enjoyed the stay.

We were met by owner who was very welcoming and presented lots of information about the house and local places to eat, park n ride etc. The house was well presented and had ample room for our requirements. All rooms were spotlessly clean and the kitchen well supplied with utensils, crockery etc. This was a good location for expeditions into York centre and was handy for the ring road and peripheral attractions too. Would definitely recommend as a destination. Oh, and the home made lemon cake left for us was delicious!!

We had a lovely stay in Park View Chase. We arrived to a warm house with a fresh cake. The house is immaculate and they have thought of every little detail. The children loved playing with the toys in the toy box and there were lots of books for them to look at. The house is easily accessible into the city and only a 5-10 minute walk from the park and ride. We had a fantastic stay and we would definitely highly recommend!
