Meticulously renovated and mindfully decorated, this one-of-a-kind country retreat embodies luxury living both inside and out. Get comfortable in one of Yew Tree Cottage’s three downstairs living spaces. Make a favourite family meal in the kitchen, where you’ll find a full welcome basket with fresh bread, butter, milk, eggs, bacon, tea, coffee, cake and a complimentary bottle of wine – all sourced from local farmers and bakers. To make cooking even easier, expect to find a well-stocked pantry and refrigerator.

Toss a few pieces of pre-cut firewood into the wood-burning stove, and hunker down in the family room with one of the many DVDs or a PS2 game. And in the dining room, gather around the solid oak rectory table, which is also ideal for playing board games or putting together jigsaw puzzles late into the evening.

If you’ve got little ones in tow, there’s no need to worry: Toddler toys, a high chair, plastic cutlery, a travel cot, and other kid-friendly gear are all freely available for your use. We even supply extra nappies, a steriliser and bottle warmer! We know what it's like to pack for children and have tried to ensure the home is equipped with everything you might need.

At night, claim a stylish bedroom to call your own. The master bedroom features a super king-sized bed, the cottage’s original fireplace and other high-end touches, and the guest bedroom boasts a double bed and beautiful views across the open fields beyond. A third room with a sofa bed doubles as a recreation room or library – perfect for anyone who needs a bit of space to call their own. (Don’t worry: A great selection of books and magazines means you’ll never be bored!)

A downstairs toilet as well as a well-appointed bathroom on the second floor offer ample room to spread out and freshen up. Prepare to be spoiled with a traditional roll-top bath/shower, underfloor heating and complimentary Aesop bathroom products with hints of ginger root and geranium fragrances.

Throw open the patio door to find Yew Tree Cottage’s lavish details spilled out into the private garden. On sunny days, take advantage of the barbeque grill and dine outside in style at the outdoor dining table. Come night, soak in the starry skies, which escape unscathed from city light.

Of course, Yew Tree Cottage’s prominent location in the heart of a typical Yorkshire village is simply a bonus to this already spectacular property. Positioned close to a pub and within easy reach of the coast, moors and dales, it’s the perfect place for a day of exploring. And don't miss the chance to explore the local market town of Malton - Yorkshire’s Food Capital - just a few minutes away.

Beyond the attention to physical details, your holiday at Yew Tree Cottage is seamless from the moment you make contact about a stay. Don’t be surprised by how simple it is to truly kick back and relax. After all, this is your hard-earned holiday.

“A perfect holiday cottage in beautiful North Yorkshire”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2016

Yew Tree Cottage really is a home from home. We travelled with two young children and we couldn't have asked for anything more: everything was provided that made our stay luxuriously comfortable and easy, from travel cots and high chairs to a basket of baby toiletries and pop up black out blinds for the bedroom. There was an abundance of toys and games for both our children to play with. As adults, we were spoilt with a gorgeous welcome hamper, a beautiful roll top bath, luxury toiletries and quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. The village of Westow is incredibly pretty and is home to a brilliant pub - it was so lovely to be able to stroll down in less than a minute from the cottage. We explored, and adored, North Yorkshire and feel there is still so much more to see. We will be back!

“Exceptional Cottage for Perfect Relaxing Getaway”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2016

Everything about our stay at Yew Tree Cottage was perfect. Clean, well appointed, spacious and full of character and charm. Comfortable beds, all mod cons, lovely bathroom smellies and a cosy wood burner. The attention to detail becomes more obvious the longer you stay, it really is a high quality place in which a lot of thought and care has been taken to get everything just right. We couldn't fault anything. The location is superb for exploring this part of North Yorkshire, we enjoyed easy trips to York, Whitby and Malton. The pub next door is welcoming and serves good quality food (and an exceptional steak pie!) Communication with the owners pre arrival was detailed and informative and indicative of the effort they have put into ensuring that their customers have the best possible experience We will definitely look to return

“Great accommodation - definitely recommend”

Cottage was well furnished , very spacious , great facilities all round for cooking and dining Perfect log burn Fire Welcome hamper a nice touch and owners very helpful during booing process Village location suited us , with good local pub and other villages within short drive or walk Definitely recommend anyone renting cottage - Patio facilities looked good for summer use but we didn't use in winter We would happily stay again Only improvement would be another bathroom or ensuite but as four adults we mangled perfectly well

“A Family Christmas Cottage stay”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2015

This is a very high quality cottage. The kitchen is designed for proper cooking, the dining room is comfortable and great for seating the whole family for a Christmas dinner and the lounge is wonderful for enjoying Christmas family games, for watching TV and for lounging in front of the wood-burner for a little after dinner nap! In addition to pretty good bedrooms, there is a really great work-room/playroom with a very comfortable put-me-up bed. A couple of desk-top computers and printer supported by high speed internet along with good wi-fi made this cottage fit the bill for our teenagers with exams around the corner. All this in a beautiful stone cottage and in a largish but very rural village. What a wonderful winter get-away spot!

“Stunning cottage with relaxing atmosphere!”

Memerable stay in a beautiful part of the world. The blacksmiths arms pub is only a very short walk and serves great food.

“Style and comfort in a great area”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2015

We were looking for a week's getaway in North Yorkshire and Yew Tree Cottage really stood out from the rest. The owners, Paul and Natasha have gone to great lengths to create a superb holiday home from home, from the quality furnishings and stylish interior design right though to the fabulous welcome hamper of delicious goodies. There's a lovely enclosed garden, easy parking right outside on the quiet road and a pleasant pub just a few doors down for those nights when you can't be bothered to cook. The cottage is superbly located - there are so many great places to visit close by - York and Harrogate, Malton, Pickering, Helmsley and the moors, Castle Howard and Eden Camp, while Scarborough and Whitby are less than an hour's drive away. If you're looking for somewhere to kick back and relax (complete with cosy wood burner and plentiful supply of logs) then you'd struggle to better this.

“Another fantastic stay”

A great base for our trip to Yorkshire. Immaculate house with all necessary equipment for a 2 and 4 year old.

“Excellent base for exploring North Yorkshire”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2015

Yew Tree Cottage offers an excellent base for exploring North Yorkshire. No expense has been spared in renovating and equipping this cottage and this results in a comfortable and enjoyable stay whatever the weather. It is a spacious property and has a particularly attractive enclosed garden area. The nearby pub is as good as its Trip Advisor reviews suggest and the owner will arrange for the delivery of milk, newspapers and fruit and veg. I would particularly commend the information provided of activities to do in the area and also the ease of communication with the owner. Strongly recommended.

“Extremely comfortable and well-kept cottage, recommend”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2015

We had a delight and relaxing stay with our five-month son, and will we are happily looking forward to returning.

“Great location”

Reviewed 5 May 2015

This cottage has been modernised but has not lost any of it's character. It is in a lovey quiet location and is a great base to explore the joys of Yorkshire. The hamper provided delicious local produce, the eggs were all XXL (poor chicken that layed them), freshly ground Taylors of Harrogate coffee, bread, cakes etc. There is no mobile coverage (some may think this a blessing!), however there are pcs available to use with very good internet connections and a landline.
