“The perfect place to stay in York”

Reviewed 27 Apr 2013

Having spent ages looking for an appartment in York, I came across the Chestnut website and even their cottages were full, but they offered me one of their caravans. Although a little apprehensive at first I can defintely say now that caravans are completely different to when I was a child! Spacious, modern, warm, every modern convenience, a fab quite location, but only 2 minutes from the park and ride, so easy to get into York ( 8 minutes on bus). Delightful people, so friendly, we would definitely stay again.

Many thanks for your kind words, we look forward to welcoming you at Chestnut Farm again soon.

“A really enjoyable break”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2012

We went to visit our daughter in York for a few days as she had not long started University there. We stayed in Darling cottage, one of the lovely cottages on Chestnut Farm Holiday Park. It is family run and the friendly owners were there to greet us and show us our cottage. We were given information on the cottage as well as being provided with information on the beautiful city of York, the surrounding area, local places to eat and places of interest. The cottage itself was well furnished and what you would imagine a comfortable, cosy cottage to be like. We had with us our 16 and 10 year old sons who happily slept in the bunk beds. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely go back to Chestnut Farm Holiday Park and recommend it to others. Two days was not enough!

“A Home from Home”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2012

Aside from the cottage being wonderfully cosy, clean and beautiful the couple in charge were fantastically helpful and friendly. They both went out of their way to help us and make us feel comfortable and we felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend it and am looking for an excuse to go and stay again!
