A 5 bedroom city centre riverside house, furnished and equipped to a very high standard with a new fitted kitchen. Quiet location on a private development with a private garden, just a few minutes walk from all major visitor attractions, shops, restaurants, bars etc. Ideal for families.

This contemporary City Centre Riverside Townhouse is situated in a quiet location on a private development overlooking the River Foss Lock and the old City Walls of the Castle area. The house is an ideal base for families, being just a few minutes walk away from major visitor attractions such as the Yorvik Viking Centre, York Dungeon, Castle Museum, Clifford's Tower and York Minster as well as the many shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars that make York such a vibrant city.

Riverside House is just one of a group of our Holiday Homes that are situated next to each other, making them ideal for large parties of up to 35 people visiting the city for weddings, celebrations, York races etc.
The property is also within easy driving distance of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, the historic North Yorkshire Coast and nearby Castle Howard stately home.

“Exceptionally spacious property within easy reach of attractions”

The location of the property was within easy reach of the city of York and easily accommodated our family of seven. Even being there over the Christmas period it was a very quiet location. It was lovely being able to overlook the river and seeing the various wildlife. Property was very clean and tidy and was like a tardis inside. We would certainly return without a moments hesitation. Everyone had a brilliant time and didn’t want to return home.

Well placed in a quiet estate with Riverside views yet within a 10 minute walk of the city centre. Not over looked so felt very cosy and private once in the house. We enjoyed the Christmas market and choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants in York. Foss Haven was as advertised, Modern kitchen, well stocked with everything required although it lacked cupboard space for food. Comfy lounge with plenty of seating for 6 adults. Great dining space. Bedrooms light and airy, beds comfy but bedding and furniture dated. Family bathroom basic but adequate for our weekend stay. A welcome pack would have been appreciated. Would recommend but expect basic rather than upmarket.

Location excellent 10 min walk in to town centre house was great very clean everything you could need was there 2 grandkids loved it they didn’t want to go home the pictures on the lnternet don’t do it justice would definitely book again

We have just come back from our stay at Foss Haven, there was 8 friends in total and this house suited us perfectly. Plenty of space with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It offered us the chance to cook in one night and being just a short walking distance from the centre of town-easy to get out and about. We enjoyed sitting in the garden which backs onto the river/lock and castle-beautiful spot. I had a few queries, such as parking a 2nd car (which we managed to park on the paved area) which holiday lettings were very good at getting back in touch with me. Would definetly stay here again when visiting York.

Stayed at Foss haven over the new year with family 6 adults 2 children, What a great little house, looks small from the front but a good size inside having 3 doubles 1 being en-suite and 2 single rooms with 1 family bathroom. it was really good didn't use the cars nearly all week except when we went for a visit to Creepy Crawlies children's center........The location of this house is great for walking in to York which is about 5 minutes into the center with all its great Restaurants shops and bars. Also recommend York's Ghost walk, what a good laugh only £5 for 1.5 hours. Will be defiantly be coming back to either this house or one of the others that are for hire

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
