Description

Bennett House is fully refurbished in a modern contemporary style yet still retaining many of its original features. It is a grade 2 listed Victorian town house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms sleeping up to 16. It is absolutely central at the eye of York near Clifford's Tower and just 10 metres from the river Ouse promenade at Kings Staith, ideal for just about everything!

“Beautiful house”

15 if us stayed at Bennett House for my hen do. The house was perfect for what we wanted. Clean, nicely decorated, loads of room for all of us and so close to the Town Centre. We did however have a problem with the Wi-Fi and none of us were able to connect. Also the slats on one of the beds kept slipping resulting in my friend falling through the bed on 2 occasions!! Overall though I would definitely recommend Bennett House!

I booked this house for my sister's hen do, with 12 guests in total. The house was beautiful and looked even nicer than it did in the photos. The house had everything we needed, and the welcome pack was a nice touch.Having 3 sets of keys was a good practical idea too. The girls also liked having matching dressing gown too! Parking wasn't an issue either as there are 2 large car parks nearby, where you can pay for weekend parking. The only slight downside was the internet access, which didn't appear to be working throughout the weekend.

The house was perfect! great local literally in the middle of York. Even with 16 of us in still plenty of room. Would defiantly go again!

“50th Birthday Celebrations”

A group of 15 family and friends stayed at Bennet House for 2 nights on 27th and 28th December for my sister 50th birthday and we had a lovely time. The house was perfect for our needs and right in the centre of town. On the first night we had a party and a further 10 people in our party who were stopping in hotels came to the house so we could all be together. We took our own food and drink, decorations, banners, ballons, cake etc and a good time was had by all. On the 28th, my sisters actual birthday, the day was free to shop and sightsee and then at night we went to the Monkgate Theatre to The Great Gatsby. It was set up so that you were a guest at Jay Gatsby's Party which everybody agreed was awesome. We all dressed up in 1920's costume and there was plenty of room at the house for everybody to shower and get ready. It was a very memorable weekend and we wouldn't hesitate to stop there again as a large group.
