Seascape is a brick-built, double-glazed chalet, no expense has been spared to make this superior chalet among the best you will find, not only with a stunning view across Sandown Bay, but special extras including unlimited superfast broadband WiFi, plus free Netflix. We have provided you will more flexible sleeping arrangements through a double bed with single bed over in Bedroom 2 as well as the double bed in Bedroom 1. From the site gates, there is direct access to the coastal path where you have just a short stroll to the first of the 5 miles of safe, sandy beaches of Sandown Bay and all local amenities. It is a perfect haven for families and couples to relax and enjoy the sunniest island in the UK, adjacent to the National Trust Bembridge Down and Island coastal path with spectacular views of Culver Cliff and across the stunning Sandown Bay. It is close to miles of cycle routes and walking pathways where you can see Island birds, butterflies and wildlife including our native red squirrels. There are no amenities to disturb the relaxing nature of this quiet site, but you can easily walk to the nearby Yaverland cafe, then on to the many delights of the bay including Isle of Wight Zoo, Browns Golf, Dinosaur Isle, Sandham Gardens with High Nets, Dinosaur Crazy Golf, Go-Karts, play equipment, many cafes, bars, restaurants, sandy beaches, pier, water sports and much more. The former on-site clubhouse building is currently being renovated to reveal a small Napoleonic fort structure by removing the more modern add-ons.

In this well-appointed chalet decorated in a seaside style we have provided very comfortable accommodation with open plan lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a modern shower room. The lounge has a corner sofa bed, dining table with 4 chairs, and a large flat screen TV with Freeview, and full-length mirror. The kitchen includes a ceramic hob, fan oven/grill, extractor hood, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, small appliances, equipment and utensils needed for holiday cooking and dining. Seascape, along with our other chalets Ocean Decks (ID 6939595), and Sandy Shores (ID 7315837are all decorated in a similar seaside style, also renovated to a high standard.

Bedroom 1 is designed for a comfortable night’s sleep with quality furnishings including a full-size double bed with a luxury mattress, bedside table, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has just been updated with a more flexible arrangement of a double bed with single 3’ bunk over, and storage shelves. Anti-allergenic pillows and duvets are provided in both rooms. John Lewis bed linen is provided at no extra charge for both bedrooms and beds are made up for you. Towels are not provided. If you intend to use the double size sofa bed, please bring your own bedding for this as we do not provide it. NB unfortunately a travel cot will NOT fit in either Bedroom 1 or 2 in Seascape (but will fit in the bedrooms of our other chalets Sandy Shores and Ocean Decks).

Seascape has electric heaters and partial underfloor heating . There is a heated towel rail in the bathroom. All window blinds are fitted with children's safety in mind.

There is a grassed area outside the chalet, and garden chairs and table are provided so that you can soak up the Island higher than average sunshine while enjoying the sea view across Sandown Bay, listening to the sounds of the nearby waves. Children can play happily on the grass under the watchful eye of their parent/carers. Free on-site parking.

Electricity is included in the rental cost. Change-over day is Saturday during main school holidays, but any day throughout the rest of the year. Our guests are kindly requested to arrive from 4pm and to vacate by 10am, so that our housekeeper will have time to get our chalets ready for the next guests. Guests are requested to leave the chalet in a clean and tidy condition.

We will contact guests approximately 7-10 days prior to arrival date to send directions to Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, how to find Seascape, the WiFi pass code and information about the chalet that you might find useful. We will also send you the code for the key safe so that you can let yourself into Seascape on arrival and get settled in at your own pace. A folder inside Seascape contains much more information, we suggest that you take the time to read this through soon after your arrival to ensure you get the best from your stay. There is lots to read about the area eg places to eat and drink, nearest cash machine, shops etc. We live locally so are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Gillian and Dave (the owner) a message.

If Gillian and Dave (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
