New for our guests: Enjoy NETFLIX with our compliments. Ocean Decks is a beautiful south facing chalet with a fenced decking area where our guests can enjoy al fresco dining using the table and chairs provided overlooking the green. No expense has been spared to make it one of the best chalets on the site, along with our other chalets Sandy Shores (next door to Ocean Decks), and Seascape with a sea view of Sandown Bay. Our home from home chalets are among the few chalets here that have their own unlimited superfast fibre broadband WiFi, and now Netflix too are provided at no extra cost to our guests. From the site gates, there is direct access to the coastal path where you have just a short stroll to the first of the 5 miles of safe, sandy beaches of Sandown Bay and all local amenities. It is a perfect haven for families and couples to relax and enjoy the sunniest island in the UK, adjacent to the National Trust Bembridge Down and Island coastal path with spectacular views of Culver Cliff and across the stunning Sandown Bay. It is close to miles of cycle routes and walking pathways where you can see Island birds, butterflies and wildlife including our native red squirrels. There are no amenities to disturb the relaxing nature of this quiet site, but you can easily walk to the nearby Yaverland cafe, then on to the many delights of the bay including Isle of Wight Zoo, Dinosaur Isle, Sandham Gardens with High Nets, Dinosaur Crazy Golf, Go-Karts, play equipment, many cafes, bars, restaurants, sandy beaches, pier, water sports and much more. The former on-site clubhouse building is currently being renovated to reveal a small Napoleonic fort structure by removing the more modern add-ons.

This brick-built chalet is fully double glazed, has blinds at all windows (black out blinds in both bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen) and we have provided our guests with comfortable, clean accommodation decorated in coastal style with open plan lounge / diner and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The lounge has a very comfortable corner sofa bed that comfortably sleeps 2 and therefore the chalet can sleep up to 6 people if needed. It has a dining table, 4 chairs, large flat screen Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix, and a useful full-length mirror. Kitchen has a modern ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and a range of small appliances and utensils needed for holiday cooking and dining.

Bedroom 1 has a very comfortable full-size double bed with a superior quality mattress, bedside units, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has white bunk beds and a useful tall shelving unit. Anti-allergenic pillows and duvets are provided in both rooms. John Lewis bed linen is provided, beds will be made up ready for your arrival. Guests would need to provide their own bedding if they are using the sofa bed. Towels are not provided.

The modern tiled bathroom has an electric shower in a quadrant shower cubicle, hand basin, WC and heater.

Travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Guests would need to provide all bedding for the travel cot.

Electricity is charged separately, via a coin meter situated in a kitchen cupboard taking new £1 coins.

There is a grassed area outside the chalet, which is not overlooked, where children can play happily under parents/carers supervision. Free parking nearby to the front and rear of the chalet.

Dogs are welcome at Ocean Decks, either 2 small dogs or 1 larger dog at an additional cost per dog per stay subject to approval. Dogs must not be left unattended at any times in the chalet as this is a strict site rule. Please check full terms and conditions with owner prior to booking.

We will contact guests approximately 7-10 days prior to their arrival date with directions to Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, how to find Ocean Decks, WiFi pass code, information about the chalet that you might find useful. We will also send you the code for the key safe so that you can let yourself into Ocean Decks on arrival and get settled in. A folder inside Ocean Decks contains useful info so we suggest you take the time to take the time to read this through soon after your arrival to ensure you get the best from your stay. It is contains details about the area eg places to eat and drink, nearest cash machines, shops etc. We live nearby so are on hand to answer any questions.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Gillian and Dave (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
