“Perfect relaxation”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2013

Just returned from wonderful week at Secret Garden. It was just what we were after, relaxing days by the pool and an easy stroll into town for our evening meals. Loads of good restaurants to choose from. Went to Bodrum and Bitez both easily done by bus. The villa is even better than the pictures make out and Kasim, the agent Howard has, is a pleasure to deal with. Only regret is one week instead of two!

“Perfect loaction ith a huge pool”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2012

We stayed for a week in September 2012. Howard arranged for a car/driver to be waiting for us at the airport which worked really well. The villa was brilliant - two bedrooms with two ensuite bathrooms, the kitchen has a really big fridge freezer. However, we spent most of the time under the terrace or by the pool. Everywhere is in walking distance and we found some excellent restaurants right on the seafront. Market day is Thursdays. A visit to Bodrum is well worthwhile. You can get the dolmus from Yalikavak. You get a better exchange rate in Yalikavak/Bodrum than you do over here.

“Yet another fantastic stay at The Secret Garden Villa”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

This was our second time staying in Yalikavak & The Secret Garden Villa, we (my husband & five year old daughter) stayed there in 2010 & loved it so much we just had to come back this year. The Villa is perfectly situated in a very nice clam & quiet street, but it's only 10 minutes’ walk to the marina, shops, bars, restaurants & beaches. You don't need a car unless you are planning to travel around to all the other local areas, as everything you need is right on your doorstep The villa itself is modern, clean & very well maintained. It's so well equipped that it's like a home from home. The pool is fabulous & cleaned on a daily basis, it's private & perfect for cooling off in the Turkish heat. Howard who owns the villa is excellent & provides you with everything you need to ensure your stay at his villa is stress free & comfortable. Any very minor issues we had were resolved in a few hours of contacting him, as he has appointed a great agent, who speaks good English & is very professional & accommodating. We love Yalikavak & we love the Secret Garden villa that we are planning to come back again next year. We have only been back a few weeks, but miss it terribly already! If we could go & stay there again this year, we would! I would highly recommend the villa to people of all ages, with & without kids. My daughter felt right at home there, loved the people, villa, food etc... We have promised her that we will go back again next year. To anybody who is planning to go to Turkey/Yalikavak and want a lovely relaxing holiday, surrounded by nice people, good food & lovely beaches then this is the definitely the place to stay. If you want to let your hair down, then the bright lights & madness of Bodrum is only a 30 minute car ride away. Thanks to Howard for everything! We'll be in touch soon re our 2013 booking

“very nice villa and good price private pool”

Reviewed 31 May 2012

I stayed at the villa with my boyfriend for 11 days and becasue it was good value for money we could afford to have the place to ourselves. Howard let us stay in the villa until the evening so it meant we could stay there until we caught our flights. Very helpful that the stays are flexible because it meant we could get the cheapest flights. Very nice villa the pool was bigger than expected and was a good way the cool off from the sun, the fence around the garden was a good height so we didn't feel overlooked at all. We stayed in may and the weather was lovely. All the rooms were air conditioned and the villa was modern. Howard was very helpful and helped us to arrange the transfers to and from the airport, the agents of the villa were also very helpful and we got a quick tour of the town when we arrived. Yalikavik was very pretty with lots of nice bars and resturants at very good prices would go back again, ideal place for couples. The villa was a good location within walking distance to town beaches and marina. We would recommend it to friends.

“Lovely modern but authentic villa, great location and pool.”

We contacted the owner via holiday letting and due to flights from Bristol were unable to do a conventional week (sat->sat) but the owner was very understanding and allowed us a flexible stay to meet our needs. The villa itself was perfect (2 couples went), modern on the inside, well equipped kitchen with all utensils etc, washing machine etc if needed, a loverly L-shaped sofa was nice, along with TV. Both bedrooms had modern en suites and there was a further toilet / shower room downstairs. The outside of the property is exactly like the photos. The pool was perfect, and had sun loungers round the outside. The pool was at the rear of the property and in a more secluded location meant it was perfect for sunbathing. It was about a ten minute walk to the beach / town, which has lots of traditional turkish shops and a great fruit market. There are loads of restaurants along the waterfront / beach for all different cuisines etc. Easy transfer from the airport, we arranged this ourselves and was very reasonable (about 45 minute transfer) and is a very pretty drive along the coast. We did some day trips too with great water for snorkling and showed the villa in a greta location. Highly recommended and the owner was very helpful.

“A great experience”

As soon as we arrived at the airport somebody was waiting for us to bring us to the villa. At the villa he showed us the house, told us where we could find shops, the beach, restaurants. The accomodation was really great. The guy who took care for it, Ulas, came later to check if everything was all right, we saw him several times that week, really friendly and helpfull. Yalikavak is in fact a small village, very nice, worth to come back what we will do in a few years. We had a great holiday, place for ourselves with a nice pool, in fact for us we enjoy this much more than staying in some hotel.

“modern villa, lovely pool,centrally located.”

Reviewed 17 Nov 2011

This is a modern villa, on a large corner plot. It has air con in both bedrooms and in the living room. The outside space is fantastic, the terrace is great for eating and this leads down to a large pool surrounded by the sunloungers. The pool is cleaned every day by the agents who are first class. The villa is situated in a residential area, less than 15 min walk into the centre of Yalikavak.A 5 min walk from the villa takes you to a small corner shop which sells fresh roasted chicken, across the road from the shop is a bakery.Yalikavak is a lovely resort, the locals are extremely friendly and unlike some other resorts in Turkey they will not hassle you in any way. The restaurants of which there are many, are first class, you can eat out , overlooking the bay for under £40 for 4 adults.Yalikavak has no night clubs and only a couple of small bars , it is a great place to chill out and relax.
