Description

Casa Amarilla is a stunning villa that has very flexible accommodation for small or large groups. It may be rented as one villa, sleeping up to 10 people (+ baby), or as two separate apartments - each sleeping 5 people. There is an internal staircase (with lockable door at the top) providing privacy when needed or 'open house' when you want it.

The ground-floor (Garden Apartment) has 2 bedrooms (bedrooms 4 and 5), sleeping a maximum of 5 people + baby in a cot, fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a family bathroom and separate shower-room.

The first floor (Pool Apartment) has 2 double bedrooms and 1 single (bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 + cot), sleeping a maximum of 5 people. The upper floor overlooks the pool and has a fully equipped kitchen with a Rangemaster double oven cooker with gas hob, integral fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

Casa Amarilla is set in beautiful gardens and is bordered by olive and orange groves. Each floor of the villa has fantastic mountain views and is located in a beautiful area only 25 minutes drive to the nearest beach (Tavernes) and 15 minutes drive to the newly opened golf course La Galiana near Simat.

We provide a free welcome pack consisting of bread, eggs, milk, butter, water, teabags, sugar, salt and pepper - all you need for a good breakfast on your first day. You will also find a complimentary bottle of wine and a few beers in the fridge.

The villa is situated in a charming rural area within easy reach of the region's major towns and attractions - some 25 minutes from Gandia, 10 minutes from the monastery village of Simat de Valldigna and 15 minutes from the large, character town of Tavernes; the glorious historic town of Xátiva is only 15 minutes away. Alternatively, the magnificent Blue Flag beaches of La Safor are only 25 minutes away.

The village of Pla de Corrals (Els Corrals) where Casa Amarilla is located, is a delightfully small pueblo (village) renowned for its friendly nature and traditional Spanish community based around the region's agriculture which is largely reliant upon the growing of fruit (principally Oranges). There are two bars - Bar Buixcarro opens lunchtimes and Saturday evenings only with a superb 'menu del dia' and Bar Raquel which opens all day and serves the best Paella in Valencia!

Casa Amarilla guests can now enjoy concessions at local golf courses.

There is a twice hourly train service into Valencia from a local station. Casa Amarilla makes a great place to stay if you want to enjoy MotoGP/F1.

After the bustle of the coast or City, visitors can enjoy the serenely peaceful lifestyle the villa and local area has to offer. Visitors will undoubtedly encounter our local goat herd as it passes by (listen out for the bells).

During summer months visitors can enjoy the many fiestas that take place in local villages and of course, outdoor dining in the evening is almost guaranteed! During Spring and Autumn months the temperatures can still rise to 25-30 degrees, but these months have cooler evenings/nights. During winter months, the weather can still be warm during the day, but normally cold at night. Christmas in Xativa is very festive with Christmas markets and an amazing 'walk through' Nativity in the local square.

The villa has an indoor non-smoking policy although you may smoke outside and ashtrays are provided in the summer kitchen. No pets are allowed with the sole exception of Assistance Dogs (and then only by prior arrangement). Regrettably Casa Amarilla is not suitable for wheelchair access. Suitability for children - the villa is quite child friendly but guests with young children should note, that there are two sets of stairs to the pool area and the pool does not have a shallow end having a near constant depth at around 1.5m.

A feature of the villa is the wonderful glass curtain room, which in cooler months forms a fully enclosed, heated dining room with glass table and chairs. During summer months the glass curtains may be folded away to form an open, but covered, terrace. The villa has 2 log-burning stoves, is air-conditioned/centrally heated and most of the rooms also have ceiling fans.A high chair and 2 cots are available for guests at no additional charge.
