“Room with a view”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay at Casa Quijote. Gail is a wonderful hostess and made us both feel very welcome. The apartment was very clean and tidy with quality furniture and fittings and excellent value. The kitchen/diner is large and contained all the necessary equipment and utensils for a comfortable stay. A twenty minute slow walk takes you downhill to the Village of Jalon and all of its amenities. We did not have a vehicle with us this year and Gail very kindly offered to collect us from Benissa station and also drove us all the way back to our hotel on the coast at the end of our stay. Casa quijote is not overlooked and the views from the pool and terrace which we had all to ourselves are spectacular. Gazing out towards the Bernia mountains on the over side of the valley with a glass or two of the local wine makes for a truly relaxing experience. Casa Quijote also has a couple of resident 'characters' being Parsley the cat and Molly the dog whom really give this place a homely and welcoming feel and gave my husband an excuse to walk Molly down to the village of an evening and sit outside the Alleluya bar for a drink! All in all a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay and we look forward to visiting again soon. Regards, Cheryl & Mike

“Fantastic!! Cant wait to go back next year!!”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

We stayed at the lovely Casa Quijote in September 2012. The host and hostess Richard & Gail made us feel really welcome (what a really lovely couple) They get the balance just right of being helpful and also ensuring that you have privacy. Paul and I loved their beautiful well equipped apartment which was literally short of nothing, with everything and more than you could possibly need. We was so relaxed and chilled out by the end of the week we wished we had booked a fortnight! The lovely local town has a laid-back charm and the people are very friendly. There are plenty places nearby to visit if looking for a little more entertainment. Thank you Gail & Richard and looking forward to next year!

“A lovely stay in a wonderful apartment”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2012

Gail and Richard are fantastic hosts always there to offer help and advice but never intrusive in any way. The apartment is fantastic with much more on offer than the usual hoilday let. It is really like being in a very comfortable home with the added luxury of a pool outside the bedroom. The town itself is within walking distance with plenty of restaurants and bars and it is central to any travelling around the beautiful area. Close enough to the busy beach areas if you want them but in rural Spain with all its glorious countryside and local markets. I really cant recommend it enough.

“Perfect Accomodation”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2012

The pictures on this website don't do Casa Quijote justice. The bedroom/lounge is huge and extremely well furnished. The king size bed is the most comfortable I've slept in and comes complete with an electric blanket, the two rocking chairs are perfect for watching the LCD tv. The patio doors open onto the furnished terrace and swimming pool (table, chairs and sunloungers, even a telescope for star gazing) and, even though we stayed in February, we were able to sit out and take in the amazing views of the valley. The spacious kitchen/diner is clean, tidy and well equiped, as is the shower room. Richard and Gail are the perfect hosts, they have taken a lot of pride in their studio and nothing was too much trouble for them, recommending restaurants and days out, helping us with our search for property, even meeting for coffee in the village. This was the third time we'd stayed in Jalon and Casa Quijote is by far the best value for money accomodation that we've found. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family and will most certainly stay there again.
