“Spectacular views from this excellent villa.. We loved it.”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2012

We booked the Villa Flamenca for a quiet relaxing break prior to the impending birth of our first child. We were met as arranged by our key holders from 'Premier Villas', Trev and Lorraine, who were friendly, good fun and really helpful, throughout our stay. With relaxation in mind, the villa was perfect. The Villa has plenty of 'private' places to sunbathe, we were very lucky as we had hardly any neighbours for our week away. Flamenca is well equipped, so travel lightly, the basement has lilo's for the pool and the clothes washing facilities, which we didn't find until the last day!! (2 more lilo's in there now!!!) Around 30 steps up to the Villa entrance from the drive way, so those not as mobile or in and out a lot may find this slightly difficult. Otherwise, I wanted to stay for at least another week..You will need to have a car if you are to fully enjoy the Villa Flamenca, it is situated almost at the top of a small urbanisation of similiar properties, in the side of a small but steep mountain which forms part of the valley. The town of Xalo which can be seen from the pool/balconies is relaxed and beautifiul, with a selection of bars and restaurant's to choose from, 'Katy's' being our favourite, and at 12-15 euro for a 3 course meal with wine and bread was really hard to beat. There's a fabulous butchers close to the thai restaurant in the town centre with the finest entrecote steaks for the BBQ/Griddle back at the Villa. The coast and Calpe just a 15 minute drive away, and lots more to explore around this stunning landscape, with some of the most breathaking views I've seen in my years. The cheapest (not neccesarily the best!) wine in the universe is available around 400 yards away from Villa flamenca, and yet another reason why, Xalo, we will be back.! Adios for now. Thanks to all at Premier Villas and to the owner for their hospitality and generosity. Steve and Amanda.
