The cottage was wonderful. Very spacious, clean and tidy. Had everything you might need, and the local shops nearby were really handy for food and drink. The cottage is right round the corner from the park and river, so you can have a wander along the Tyne. I'd love to visit again as it's really handy for visiting family. “Excellent standard of accommodation in a lovely location”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2016

This property had been renovated around a year when we visited. The Lounge area was big and comfortable. Kitchen was well served by all you would expect in appliances. The bedroom was very spacious. As a couple this was absolutely ideal for exploring the area for an extended weekend. It is in a lovely village well served by 3 pubs, 3 restaurants and the local train station on a few minutes down the road - ideal for travelling to Newcastle
