Description

Old Forge Cottage is a newly refurbished stone built 1 bedroom cottage situated in the popular village of Wylam. The accommodation is on 2 floors and consists of 1 bedroom with kingsize bed and sofa bed (for children) and a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. Downstairs there is an open plan living room/dining room which comfortably seats 6 and dining for 4. The modern kitchen is fully equipped including, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, washing machine. Outside there is off road parking for 2 cars and an electric car charging point. The village has great amenities and the accommodation is centrally located to the shops, pubs, restaurants, cafe and park/grass areas.

Travel cot, high chair, booster seat, changing mat, baby bath, small selection of toys available and children's plastic cutlery and crockery.

Lounge includes a double sofa bed. There is an extra £25 charge to supply bedding for both sofa beds.

The owners can securely store bikes and pushchairs on request.

The owners of Old Forge cottage require a damage deposit of £100- this will be returned to you on satisfactory inspection of the property after departure.

The cottage was wonderful. Very spacious, clean and tidy. Had everything you might need, and the local shops nearby were really handy for food and drink. The cottage is right round the corner from the park and river, so you can have a wander along the Tyne. I'd love to visit again as it's really handy for visiting family. Debbie was really helpful and is a clearly a great host.

This property had been renovated around a year when we visited. The Lounge area was big and comfortable. Kitchen was well served by all you would expect in appliances. The bedroom was very spacious. As a couple this was absolutely ideal for exploring the area for an extended weekend. It is in a lovely village well served by 3 pubs, 3 restaurants and the local train station on a few minutes down the road - ideal for travelling to Newcastle

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
