Superb river views front and rear from our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (shower not bath) sleeping 4 (1 double , 1 twin bed) the property is quality furnished it is not large but it ideal for up to 4 people there are 2 fridges and freezer , microwave, toaster, electric kettle, electric cooker, washing machine, iron and ironing board, central heating, built in electric wall fire, there is no charge for heating and lighting and no extra charge if you bring a small well behaved dog. The fishing is excellent during the season June 15 to March 15 and particularly good for pike fishing in the winter. You can fish anywhere on peninsular cottages grounds of approximately 3 acres. It is a waterfront terrace cottage on the river Bure, open plan lounge kitchen and dining area, south facing with sun on lounge opening to the decking facing the river from early morning to early evening, excellent fishing from private lawned area. Wroxham village with supermarket, department store plus many cafes, takeaways and pubs/bars are only 10 minutes walk away. To hire a self drive boat ,kayak. canoe for an hour , half day or whole day or large paddle steamer trips, all these are only 5 minutes walk from property. There is a train station in Wroxham only 15-20 minutes to Norwich City or 45 minutes to Cromer seaside or 16 miles by car to Great Yarmouth. You can also take a steam train from the Bure Valley Steam Railway from Wroxham station to Aylsham approximately 45 minutes through picturesque scenery.
The Norfolk Coastline is scattered with many lovely soft sandy beaches several perfect for Seal watching.
If you do hire a boat there are several riverside pubs and restaurants that you can moor next to and enjoy as part of your river trip. If you do hire a small boat for a day or half a day you will find them very easy to drive and the speed limit is only 5 miles per hour so you will feel very safe, you can also take a picnic on board if you wish. The great thing about the Broads boating is that there are no locks that you have to go through as there are on most waterways in Britain
For the children BeWilderwood a curious Treehouse adventure which include boat rides , interactive story telling, craft making, face painting , slippery slopes, tree swinging, sky Maze and much more ideal for a family day out this is only 15 minutes drive away. Pettitts animals adventure Park at Reedham, The Pleasure Beach and lots of entertainment at Yarmouth or a 10 minutes drive to Wroxham Barns with animals petting and fairground rides, great for kids and grown ups.
In Norwich excellent shopping Malls and open markets also famous Norwich Cathedral, Norwich is only 8 miles by car.
There is a bar/cafe call the Boat Shed only 3 minutes walk away.
Wildlife is on your door step with flocks of swans , geese there are also herons and now otters are been seen quite frequently.
The property has one of the best and enviable positions on the peninsular cottages grounds facing up river and in the sun most of the day.
There is free secure parking that comes with the property with electronic barrier for one car very close to the cottage , a second car can be parked there but there would be a fee.
