From the owner

Puffin is in a private waterside holiday area with a communal lawn down to the river with private fishing rights. It has had a complete refurbishment in February this year 2016 with new kitchen, carpet and flooring. The double glazed doors open onto a patio area where you can sit and watch the boats go by. The front door opens into a spacious lobby area with a large cupboard and door leading into the open plan lounge and kitchen.

The lounge has patio doors, 2 sofas, television with DVD, ornamental electric fire and a dining table. free WiFi . From 2017 the electricity is now included in the price and not extra as before.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need for your stay including a microwave.

Upstairs is a galleried double bedroom with built in wardrobe/storage area and double bed with side cabinets. The bathroom has a shower unit with electric shower, toilet and wash basin.

There is a management office on site.

A thoroughly enjoyable week. Unfortunately the mattress was very uncomfortable too hard. Apart from that the property was welll positioned and equipped.

Sorry to hear that as the mattress is only 2 years old and we did buy a good quality one. We have a lot of guests that return each year and love the cottage so really don't understand the problem. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Gill (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
