- Very Good
Vineyard cottage in Waterly Bottom was an exceptional find. Very quiet and peaceful surrounded by forests. We had many walks around the area and found our cottage the perfect retreat to come home to at day's end. To sit by the wood fire on the big beautiful couch, with a pint, was fantastic. Owners very friendly and the New Inn just up the road is a great spot for a meal or a pint. Lovely cottage, lovely spot.
“A lovely Cotswolds Experience”
We stayed here with our two young boys (5 & 3) and found this sweet cottage to be perfect. We absolutely loved our stay! It was a fantastic place, nestled away in a sweet little village on the Cotswolds edge. The owners, James and Paula, were wonderful hosts and made every effort to make sure our stay was a good one. We loved being tucked away from the larger, more touristy, Cotswolds villages with the freedom to jump in our car and explore them during the day. As Londoners, there is also something to be said for complete, blissful silence at night! Highly recommend.
We rented this cottage over Christmas to be closer to the family. The woodburniing stove was alight when we arrived in the evening making the cottage very welcoming, there was also a small Christmas tree which was a very nice touch. The cottage is well decorated and furnished, the kitchen is very good, as a keen cook it was important to me that it worked well which it did cooking for six on Christmas Day. It is in a lovely location. We hope to return in May.
“Photos and reviews do not do justice to this wonderful cottage !”
My wife and I had spent some time online looking for a place in the Cotswolds for a romantic weekend, and we were fortunate to find this place ! I was quite particular in my requirements; it had to be clean, have beautiful surroundings, remotely placed (not in one of the villages) , have a fireplace , peaceful etc - and it ticked all boxes ! In honestly, the photos provided by Paula and James do not at all portray the shear beauty of the encompassing valley, the scenes you can see when just stepping out onto the deck for the morning coffee. we had a great time, and would happily go again!
