The Haven is the perfect place for individuals or groups looking for self-catering accommodation in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Enjoying an elevated position on the edge of town, stunning views are provided from the south-facing room, with scenes that appear to change from day to day and from season to season.

Situated just a three-minute walk off the Cotswold Way national walking route, The Haven provides an ideal stop for walkers, and an excellent base for exploring the magnificent Cotswolds, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many circular walks through beautiful countryside right from The Haven, with several of these being set out in walking guides available at the property.

For those not arriving on foot, The Haven is also very conveniently placed, being less than five miles from the M5 and 12 miles from the M4. The Haven is also just 9 miles from Badminton and 12 miles from Gatcombe Park, offering an ideal choice of accommodation for those attending the Badminton Horse Trials or the Festival of British Eventing. Also within easy reach are Bristol (18 miles), Bath (20 miles), Tetbury (11 miles), Nailsworth (9 miles), Stroud (12 miles), Cirencester (21 miles), Cheltenham (29 miles), Gloucester (23 miles), Bibury (29 miles), and even Wales (the Severn Crossing is just 18 miles away).

For golfers, The Haven is within a short drive of several golf courses, including the Cotswold Edge Golf Club (18 holes) less than three miles away, and the Canons Court Golf Course (nine holes plus driving range) within two miles. Not much further afield, you will find the Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club, the Chipping Sodbury Golf Club, the Minchinhampton Golf Club (three courses), the Players Club and the Kendleshire Golf Club.

Other local attractions include Newark Park (National Trust), Berkeley Castle, the Jenner Museum, WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Woodchester Mansion, Dyrham Park (National Trust), Westonbirt Arboretum, and the Wild Place.

Despite its edge-of-town location, with views onto open countryside, The Haven is only a five-minute walk to the centre of Wotton-under-Edge, providing easy access to pubs, restaurants and shops. Wotton has its own (small) cinema, and in the warmer months an outdoor (though covered and heated) swimming pool.

Being conveniently located on the edge of town, close to local amenities, The Haven is located in and accessed through a rather unassuming residential area of Wotton-under-Edge. But being perched on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment, some stunning views lie in wait beyond the residential facade.

The Haven has only recently been refurbished, with clean, fresh and modern facilities throughout. There are two upstairs bedrooms, with the south-facing bedroom enjoying the sort of views seen in the pictures. One of the bedrooms has a double bed, while the other has a double bed and a single bed, allowing five guests to be accommodated at a time (though in just two bedrooms).

There is a single bathroom upstairs (including bath and separate shower), and a kitchen/diner/lounge and separate toilet downstairs. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge with freezer compartment. Each bedroom has its own TV and DVD player, with access to over 250 satellite TV (freesat and non-freesat) channels. The downstairs lounge also has a TV (with satellite channels) and radio player.

There is plentiful off-road car parking available on site. Children aged five and over are very welcome, but sorry no pets are allowed.

Loved this lovely apartment / house. It felt like being at home. Rooms are spacious and light, plenty of wardrobes, drawers, cupboards for storage. It has everything needed for a family break. Excellent position if you want to visit Cotswolds, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham etc. Would definitely recommend!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Hesper (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
