Description from owner
The Haven is a Two Bedroom Holiday Bungalow in the Delightful Sussex Village of Findon, which is in the South Downs National Park with many walks and footpaths leading from the village. The property features an open plan, light and spacious living area leading out into a patio garden which is completely enclosed so safe for dogs and children. It has a fitted kitchen with breakfast bar.There are 3 small stairs leading to the 2 bedrooms, a large and spacious master bedroom with build in wardrobes and drawers and a smaller twin bedded room also with fitted wardrobes and drawers. There is also a bathroom with shower, toilet and bath and a separate shower room. It will accommodate 2 couples or a family of 4 and up to 3 dogs are welcome at no extra charge. We don't have cots but you are welcome to bring your own. Free wifi is available for those wanting to keep in touch with work or just to surf the web.
The village has great facilities; there are 4 pubs, 2 restaurants ( Indian and Modern European) and a tea room so you can, if you want to, eat out locally in a different place each night for a week! All have fully reopened in July 2020 but you may need to book in advance if you are eating. There is also a community shop and post office, an antique shop and a butchers serving local produce. It is just 4 miles from Worthing and the sea with some great cafés serving fresh fish and chips. There are 2 theatres in nearby Worthing and Chichester Festival Theatre is 30 minutes away as are the many attractions of Brighton. If you are keen on racing then Goodwood and Fontwell races are only 20 minutes away.

May 2015 - "I would have kept The Haven a secret but that would not have been fair on the wonderful, caring owners who deserve five stars.The Haven exceeded all our expectations - everything was exactly as described. As soon as we stepped through the door we instantly felt at home. The garden is a special feature of the bungalow well stocked with mature trees, bushes and plants and a real "haven" to all the many birds that can be seen there. Findon and the surrounding area are set in outstanding English countryside and we found all the local people we met on walking our dogs very friendly and helpful.Elaine was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble.
Jan 2016 - This was the perfect rental for our yearly family visit to the UK. We stayed here with our 17 month old son and it was the perfect place to have as a home away from home. He absolutely loved having our "own" space to run around and we loved the separation between the bedrooms and the living space so we could unwind and relax by the lovely warm gas fire and enjoy all the perks of SKY TV! The kitchen is well stocked and having a separate shower room was great. Findon is a pretty little village with pubs and shops and a huge green space steps away. We went on several walks in the morning through the village and it was safe and quiet. It is well placed close to main routes to get you anywhere you need to go in the southeast. Elaine was an excellent communicator and we had no problems with the house, nor were in need of anything! Will definitely consider for future visits!”
March 2017 - "Such a lovely home. Brilliant location for the dogs who enjoyed some great walks up the hill. Everything was just what we needed and some great bird watching in the garden. Hope to be back soon. Thank you".
June 2018 - “Wonderful bungalow! We loved the beautiful tranquil garden and the chance to watch the feathered visitors. Well equipped kitchen and excellent wifi. Great dog walking just outside the front door. Thank you for a lovely mini break.”
July 2019 Elaine is a great host and her place is lovely and we'll equipped with everything you could want! The garden is amazing too, so peaceful and quiet to sit in and relax and take in the sun. We have never stayed in such a dog friendly place and the village itself is very dog friendly too.
July 2020 -"The Haven was the perfect place for my parent's five day visit. It is well situated in Findon, close by Nepcote Green. It is quiet, peaceful, light, spacious and comfy. The house and garden were well equipped to make their stay just as it needed to be. Everything worked fine and our friendly and helpful hosts were speedy in responding to any questions we had."
July 2020 We were very happy with the Haven as accommodation for myself, my friend and 2 dogs.The location near to Nepcote Green was ideal for early morning walks & so beautiful; the bungalow gave us plenty of space and the Haven App with its readily accessible information was extremely helpful. We were able to eat all our meals outside on the handy table, with the dogs wandering round in the secure garden.

If Elaine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
