Description

The Haven is a Two Bedroom Holiday Bungalow in the Delightful Sussex Village of Findon, which is in the South Downs National Park with many walks and footpaths leading from the village. The property was improved in 2014 and features an open plan, light and spacious living area leading out into a patio garden which is completely enclosed so safe for dogs and children. It has a newly fitted kitchen with breakfast bar.There are 3 small stairs leading to the 2 bedrooms, a large and spacious master bedroom with build in wardrobes and drawers and a smaller twin bedded room also with fitted wardrobes and drawers. There is also a bathroom with toilet and bath and a separate shower room.It will accommodate 2 couples or a family of 4 and dogs are welcome. We don't have cots but you are welcome to bring your own. Free wifi is available for those wanting to keep in touch with work or just to surf the web.

The village has great facilities; there are 4 pubs, 2 restaurants ( Indian and Modern European) and a tea room so you can, if you want to, eat out locally in a different place each night for a week! There is also an antique shop and a butchers serving local produce. It is just 4 miles from Worthing and the sea with some great cafés serving fresh fish and chips. There are 2 theatres in nearby Worthing and Chichester Festival Theatre is 30 minutes away as are the many attractions of Brighton. If you are keen on racing then Goodwood and Fontwell races are only 20 minutes away.

May 2017 - What a find! The Haven is excellently equipped - such attention to detail. As we had hot sun on all 3 days we 'lived' in the delightful garden or out walking. Planning to return!! So hard to leave today.

Getting around

There is a bus service to Worthing which runs twice an hour and also goes to Horsham and Midhurst. Southern and Thameslink Lines operate from Worthing station to Brighton, London, Chichester and Portsmouth.

The Haven exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and wished we could have had longer. There was a lovely welcome pack on our arrival and the owner Elaine could not have been more helpful. Recommend to anyone with or without a dog.

We had three magical days (in glorious May weather) re-visiting childhood walks, knowing we would be returning in the evenings to a wonderfully equipped, comfortable and peaceful house. We loved sitting out in the garden for all our meals, accompanied by the local woodpecker on some occasions! Thank you Elaine for all you have done to make the place such a pleasure to stay in; so much attention to detail.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
