IN MORE DETAIL: Narracott 3 ground floor apartment features an exclusive entertainment suite creating an additional reception area / space where the children can play whilst the adults enjoy some quieter time. All main areas have patio doors leading onto a large terrace. Stylishly furnished the main living area is open plan and with excellent facilities incorporating the creative use of mirrors, lighting and contemporary art. To one end you will find the well equipped kitchen including a ample breakfast bar. A spacious family dining area lies between the kitchen and lounge. Within the lounge area is a matching chasie as well as the leather sofas all positioned to take full advantage of the views. Both bedrooms are en-suite with patio doors onto the large terrace. The entertainment suite is located separately off the hallway with a comfortable corner sofa and convenient cloakroom. With local pubs, restaurants and the south west coast path on the doorstep, the apartment provides excellent accommodation for the discerning guest.

ACCOMMODATION:Stairs to Ground floor Open plan (11.5m)living/kitchen/dining area with electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Entertainment suite with 50" plasma TV, DVD, Stereo, home cinema 5:1 system, ensuite cloakroom WC. Bedroom 1 with King and ensuite shower room, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with Twin (ample room for travel cots) and ensuite bathroom with bath and fitted shower over bath, WC and basin.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES:Linen and towels. High Chair, No cot is provided, please bring your own travel cot. Gas CH. 1 pet welcome. Patio furniture. Smoking permitted on the patio only. Allocated private parking for 1 car. Short breaks available. For weekly bookings changeover is Friday. NO DAMAGE DEPOSIT REQUIRED. Housekeeper close by to help with any questions or matters on site you may have.

FYI - there is building work on the old hotel complex next door and also in the initial area of the entrance hall where a new lift and an additional staircase is being installed. Most guests report this does not impact them at all - except it is a bit of a shock to arrive and see it.

Woolacombe Bay

Woolacombe Bay is a three mile stretch of golden sand at the bottom of a valley. To the west Baggy Point cliffs and to the North East Morte point frame the beach. Nearby attractions include the following:

Ilfracombe: A fine Victorian seaside resort with something to do whatever the weather all year round

Tarka Cycle trail: National Cycle Network,Devon Coast Route 27. This is a wonderfully scenic circular route on the North Devon coast and takes in two superb traffic free sections, the National Trust coast route beside the sea at Woolacombe Sands and the former railway path from Ilfracombe to Willingcott Cross. The remainder is along attractive minor roads through quiet villages and rolling Devon farmland.

Lee Bay: This picturesque village is situated in a deep combe, heavily wooded in places. The small rocky cove with its many rock pools and small sandy beach remains a tranquil spot even in the height of summer.
Lee is often referred to locally as 'Fuchsia Valley' during the flowering season, many of the village hedgerows are ablaze with the scarlet flowers.

Morthoe: A calm cliff-top village with spectacular views less than a mile from Woolacombe, Mortehoe is listed in the Doomsday Book and has a number of interesting features including a rare barrel-roofed thirteenth-century church. Visit the Cart Linhay Heritage Centre which gives a glimpse of Old Morte and the days when smugglers lured ships onto the rocks. Mortehoe is surrounded by wonderful scenery, much of it part of the Voluntary Marine Conservation Area, which is a haven for wild flowers and animals which fill the area with colour and movement. Above the rugged beaches stand the hill-sides and cliff-tops along which walkers can explore the wonderful scenery which is part of the South West Coat Path

Barnstaple: Barnstaple is the commercial centre of the region, combining sophisticated High Street shopping with the bustling atmosphere of markets and speciality shops. It is a haven for food lovers with its array of quality bakeries, fish-mongers, cheese sellers and butchers. Its many restaurants offer something for everyone.An habitual winner of 'Britain in Bloom' each summer the town is a wash with a cascade of colour, as the beautiful floral displays compete for your attention.

Your holiday home will be ready and available from 3pm onwards on the day of your arrival. Check out time is 10am on day of departure.  So we can prepare the apartment for our next guests, please respect our turnaround times and do leave the apartment on time. Our onsite Housekeeper Sarah can be reached on the phone or via text and whose details are in the arrival instructions you will receive on receipt of full payment of your balance and which are also within the apartment. Reception can sometimes be patchy in Woolacombe and so in an emergency please do both email, call and text. “Outstanding.Apartment”

What a lovely large apartment with everything you could need. Fabulous sea views from all 3 main rooms and great balcony too. Close to bars and restaurants and no disruption from building work. Secure parking close by and Sarah always available if needed and keen to ensure a good holiday. TV room incredible. Definitely will be back to this wonderful apartment.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great location. The website photos looked good but it was even better in reality. Spacious well equipped, comfortable and convenient. This gave me the escape I was looking for. I felt pampered and relaxed and would love to return. It was great in the sunshine on the secure terrace or the beach and also in the evening in the home.cinema. Thanks for a great few days

Nice apartment just off the main road into Woolacombe, only a stones throw from the beach. The apartment itself is well equiped with everything we needed for a self catered stay. The large terrace was a good little sun trap for sitting out on and drying wetsuits etc with a great view of the beach. Parking was available although not exactly where expected due to adjacent apartments being renovated, either way it was ok. Some things were a little rough round the edges: exposure to the elements has taken its toll on the outdoor furniture and terrace railings etc. The TV room was a little confusing to work out but got there in the end. All in all a pleasant stay for a bit of surfing!

We stayed for 3 nights in total. Apartment is great, large spacious rooms with sea views and close to village and beach. The two bedrooms were big and easily accommodated young children on ready beds. The TV room was a hit with the kids, with a sofa bed could be a third bedroom. There were some issues, the boiler broke while we were there (but was repaired on the same day), the lift was temperamental (and is needed if you have a buggy), the lights to the apartment were on sensors, but did not come on (had to locate switches which was tricky in complete darkness as lights went off automatically). We were also not warned about the demolition work and temporary car park (although no noise could be heard from the apartment) . If it had a gate and steps down from the patio area, it would make a quick trip to the shops very convenient. We would stay in this apartment again, probably sharing with family as it really is well located and certainly big enough.

Had a really good stay in Woolacombe for a friends 40th. Apartment is ideally situated for the beach and the nightlife. Very clean and spacious with a wonderful view over the beach. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights in august and found the apartment to have an amazing view with a fantastic large patio, the apartment is set up to sleep 4 but it is huge and could easily sleep a lot more people. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean. The apartment is in a great location with only a short walk to the beach and village, which has some amazing places to eat/drink. We highly recommend bar electric for fantastic food and staff and if you order between 5 and 7 the children's food is free.

Where to start? Woolacombe itself is a delightful little place right at the seaward end of a valley. Shops close early evening (a good thing for peace and quiet!) and the central pub is friendly with good food and clientele. While the shared spaces of the Narracott apartments could use some updating Apartment number 3 is wonderful. A high level of finishes and fit out (modern contempory style), exceptional views (sunset especially lovely) and open living space make it a great place to stay, unwind and capture the sea air. Certain to come back (even all the way from Hong Kong!)

I have stayed in a couple of the apartments owned by this lady. They are all fabulously appointed, very comfortable and very central to Woolacombe. I would definitely recommend to anyone and am always looking for another opportunity to visit and stay in Narracott.
