"good position in centre of Woodstock"
Comfortable lounge and bedroom ,kitchen and bathroom need updating. Easy walk into Woodstock and only 5 minutes from Blenheim Palace gates. Ridiculous demands for cleaning before leaving eg. wash all windows, floors etc.

"Perfect base for visiting Oxford, Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace"
This is a cute little cottage, conveniently located on a quiet lane near the center of Woodstock. It's close to good restaurants, pubs (the Black Prince is nearest), the town's "water meadow" (walking path through the marshy area along the brook), and the side gate that gives public access to the Blenheim Palace grounds. It's easy enough to get into Oxford, but to really enjoy the countryside you do need a car. My only quibbles: The backyard isn't much, mostly gravel and cement; the stairs are steep: the second bedroom is very small (but storage area is just outside). My husband and I were there happily, with occasional guests, for two months in the spring.

"Lovely character cottage"
Beautiful little cottage. Perfectly presented and everything you could need. Neat and tidy and well maintained. Would highly recommend and is in perfect location for central Woodstock. Can't wait to go back.

"Pleasant cottage with some peculiarities"
We found that parking in the street was extremely limited, especially at weekends. On arrival we managed to open the key safe and enter successfully, but then, on going out, could not lock the doors. Fortunately the manager later explained the system to us, which apparently is common in the UK, but was not famliiar to us at all. There was a book with many very strict regulations as e.g. about damage, but we found that the manager did not know about an essential fridge fitting having been damaged, presumably by previous tenants. Wifi and central heating worked well. The main sitting room is rather dark, but contains many books and Dvd's for poor weather entertainment. The location near central Woodstock is good. After our stay we had a strange email about a missing pillow and key, but did not hear further after explaining we had only had one set of keys which we left, and had certainly not taken a pillow!
