The 'Town' Gate into Blenheim Palace park is only a short walk away, with the historic Blenheim Palace and its beautiful grounds..

For the exploring traveller, Oxford city is only 8 miles away, with easy access by regular bus service, or, subject to traffic, 10-15 minutes by car. (though Oxford City is notoriously bad for car parking and the bus would be the recommended way of getting there!)
Once in the city it has a charm of its own, historic colleges, various shops, bars and parks. (It is known as one of the greenest cities in the UK.)
Not far away is the famous 'Designer' outlet centre of Bicester Village. Explore the shops selling famous 'names' at discount prices! But be warned, not only can you save a lot of money on famous named clothing it can also get very busy with car parking becoming a problem at busy times!
Woodstock itself is on the edge of the Cotswolds, so within minutes you could be in the rolling hills on your way to famous old market towns like Stow-on-the-Wold or Black Bourton.
