Booking Bed & Breakfast at Pasture Gate Cottage, High Doctor Pasture gives you a quiet super king (or twin bedded) double room with glorious views over the south facing garden and open countryside, family sized bathroom, kitchen and sitting room where you can snuggle up to watch HD satellite TV, read a book, complete a jigsaw, play cards or make use of the complimentary Wi-Fi. Comfy beds, crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets and down duvets and pillows (Non-allergic bedding available) offer a refreshing night's sleep for guests. The family sized bathroom has a power shower over the bath and heated towel rail to enjoy warm fluffy towels. A scrumptious breakfast is provided and an evening meal, freshly cooked in our farmhouse kitchen, can be ordered when booking for your night of arrival.Breakfast - 'Taste Durham Highest Quality Assured and Local Produce Champion 2015'.

From 7.30am – 9.30am (earlier on request) enjoy our mouth-watering breakfasts – Full English Breakfast of sausage, bacon, egg and tomatoes sourced locally; Scrambled Eggs on toast topped with delicious Smoked Salmon or even a homemade toasted sandwich to fuel your day.Alternatively, a Continental breakfast, with a variety of healthy cereals or porridge, croissants, yogurts and fresh fruit. All served with toast and marmalade, jams and honey, orange juice, teas and coffee. Our menu caters for individual tastes. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. Orders are taken the evening before.

Arriving late or just wanting a night in, please order from our supper menu. For first night only: £30 for two people, £20.00 for one person. Sample Supper Menu (dishes are freshly cooked in our own kitchen.) Lasagne served with a colourful mixed salad; home grown apple crumble and ice cream.•A warming Shepherds' Pie served with braised red cabbage; 'rich & smooth' chocolate torte •Pork provencale (tomato and onion sauce) served with brown rice and buttered garden peas; berry compote and ice cream •Macaroni cheese served with fresh tomatoes and spinach; summer fruit sorbet and ratafia biscuits A variety of teas and coffee are complimentary throughout your stay.A well stocked fridge with tasty snacks also available – reasonable prices.

Pasture Gate Cottage, HIgh Doctor Pasture has a strict No Smoking Policy. Cleaning is carried out daily. Check in after 5pm. Departure by 10.30am. By Law for Guest Registration, names and addresses of guests are required on booking, and for guests outside the EU a valid passport and details of next destination will be requested on arrival.
