Oxleaze Barn is ... well, spacious doesn't seem to do it justice, but it really is the most luxuriously capacious family home! Covering over 4,000 sq feet, Oxleaze Barn combines superb open plan daytime living areas that are filled with light, thanks to the floor to ceiling glass walls, most of which open into the gardens. Six sizable bedrooms make up the sleeping accommodation and there are three bathrooms. Laid out over two floors with master bedroom on the ground floor, there is a family wing above and a guest wing beyond the playroom.
The focal point of this property is the impressive L shaped space that is occupied by the kitchen, dining area and family room.
The kitchen is fitted with oak cupboards, offset by granite work surfaces. Fully equipped for effortless entertaining, there is a Rangemaster dual fuel professional cooker, American fridge freezer with water filter, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machines and many other useful appliances.
The dining area with table and seating for 10 is flanked by concertina glazed doors that open out into a small garden area laid completely to lawn. There is additional furniture to extend capacity.
The fabulous family room features the biggest sofa we have come across. Everyone can sit in supreme comfort on the U shaped masterpiece and enjoy a crackling log fire or watch a film on the impressive wall mounted plasma TV.
Off the family room is a gym equipped with a multi-purpose weight trainer, bench, treadmill, free weights and exercise bike.
Through the kitchen there is a useful utility area with washer/dryer and doorway out into the garden with there is a rotary washing line. There is a separate downstairs loo before the doorway into a children's playroom, complete with corner sofa, TV with freeview and double doors out to the garden. There is a further room off this, which is private.
In the corner is a set of stairs leading up to the guest wing.
Master bedroom 1 - is off the main living area through a useful dressing. It is complemented by an en-suite bathroom with separate shower. The bedroom features an contemporary four-poster super king bed.
Bedroom 2 - a large room with iron framed king size bed against a pretty floral feature wall.
Bedroom 3 - child's room with full size single bed and additional trundle bed.
Bedroom 4 - double bedroom.
Bathroom off the landing with bath, separate shower, loo and basin.
Bedroom 5 - spacious bedroom with king size bed and day bed (convertible to double bed if required)
Bedroom 6 - king size bed with en-suite shower room.
Note - while Bedroom 5 shares the en-suite bathroom in bedroom 6, there is a separate loo downstairs.
Oxleaze Barn sits in about half an acre with the majority of the grounds to the rear where there is a large garden. There is a terrace adjacent to the house which opens on to the lawn which is bound by established hedging and paneled fencing. There is a purpose built children's play area on a chip stone base to the side. There are various pieces of outdoor furniture including a large table and benches plus a barbecue.
To the front of the property is an electric five bar gate, which opens on to the graveled parking and turning area and the double car port.
The property sits in a private location surrounded by open farmland and woodland, through which there is a footpath leading to the village of Lew. There are two very good pubs nearby, details of which will be found in the property. The busy market down of Witney (famous for its blankets) has two large supermarkets - Waitrose and Sainsburys - as well as independent and high street shops, lovely antiques and vintage seconds plus a great cinema complex with good restaurants and a useful leisure center.
