"Lovely cottage with great views and modern amenities."
Our stay at spout barn last week was great. The house has got all the modern amenities that one looks forward to these days. We found it spacious and the views from the house was the best one could ask for. The land lady Jo was always available on phone and attended to our needs fairly quickly. Our group had 3 children and 5 adults, the house could comfortably accommodate us all. There's a good collection of books to read, a good movie collection on DVD and recorded on the sky plus box. There's plenty of board games to play and comfortable bed. The linen was clean, so were the towels. The kitchen was fully equipped. We tried baking cakes, had a go on the grill. We visited Matlock (Abraham heights), carsington water (Boating, picnic, Children play area, cycle hire), Derby (westfield for shopping), Edale (For a walk and drive from Hope to Mam Tor), Chatsworth, Pooles Cavern, National forest (Pottery museum, ski center swadlincote, National Memorial Arboretum), Ashford in the water (for Well Dressing) etc
Wow! you did so much in one week. Thanks for being the first victims at Spout Barn (just a shame the timer failed to work!) and the children were so well behaved. Hope to see you all again soon, thanks for taking the time to write the review.
