“Beautiful cottage, perfect for a walk to the beach, pub and local shops.”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2018

We have stayed in one of Richard's cottages before and have always been impressed with the high standards, this cottage did not disappoint. It is beautiful and well equipped for your stay. Jan always gives you a very warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble, giving you a good start to your holiday. The cottage was clean and tidy and welcoming. Winterton is a beautiful area. The beach is fantastic and a walk to Horsey beach is worth it, just to see the many seals "sunbathing" on the beach. There was a bit of a problem with parking but that would have been easily remedied if others had parked more sensibly, it didn't spoil our holiday, just a bit annoying really.

“Perfect place, perfect location”

My stay at Little Tern cottage was better than I expected. The cottage itself is kept to a very high standard and has everything there that you could need during your stay. Jan the housekeeper is very welcoming, greeting you arrival to make sure you are settled. The location is also perfect as it is within walking distance to the beach, with local shops nearby and a lovely dog friendly pub/restaurant. An all round great stay, will definitely be returning in the future.

“Simply perfect”

Had a great relaxing week. Weather very kind. Lovely daily five mile circuit with dog which inevitably ended at dunes beach cafe. So little to do but relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Such a contrast to Devon!! Thank you, your cottage was perfect.

“Home from Home (but with all the extras)”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2017

Just returned from a fabulous few days staying in Little Tern. The cottage was lovely, everything you could ask for and more. Nice and warm for our afternoon arrival and littl extras like milk, tea and coffee etc. It's quite apparent from walking in that no expense has been spared all the fittings and fixtures and well made and thought out. The bedrooms are a wonderful size and despite this being a holiday let if feels like you are the first person to be staying here it's that clean. The bathrooms are wonderful also and the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and accessories you could possibly need. Despite this let and all the others being dog-friendly, it doesn't feel/smell or look that way. Plenty of parking and lovely and secure. The property is a short work to the beach which is such a lovely extra. Other beaches are a close drive and of course a few shops/pub. Jan the housekeeper welcomed us and she was most helpful, it's clear this isn't just a job for her and she enjoys her work and it's reflected in how well the cottages are kept. We had mentioned to Jan that we might want to return to group book the 5 properties and without hesitation she showed us around them all one by one. They are all well kept, clean and unique. Dependent upon how many in your group there is a property to cater for all. We had such a wonderful time, sad to leave but hope to return in the future, maybe in the Summer. But irrespective of whatever the weather, you reason for being here - you will not be disappointed.

“Felt like home the minute we walked through the door, was gorgeous”

My daughters and I loved every minute of our stay, the cottage had everything we needed, we had our own space with bedrooms at different ends of the cottage but had the lovely lounge and kitchen table to gather together for dinners and wonderful family time . We loved the local Fishermans Return where we had a lovely pub lunch followed by a walk along the beautiful dunes and beach, it was pure bliss not forgetting the fish and chips we had on our last night only a few mins walk away. I have stayed now at Bobtail cottage and now Little Twrn and have loved both of them. Jan the housekeeper greeting us on both occasions making us feel very welcome . Totally recommend both of these cottages in His beautiful coastal village.

Tern Cottage was very nice location and spacious. Very clean, a few niggles the shower en suit smelt of drains, the dishwasher door knob was broken. Which made it very hard to open, the roller blinds pulls were broken all these things we reported, but no action was taken which was a bit disappointing. We had a lovely welcome from Jan the housekeeper. Will go back and would recommend, they just need to action complaints.
