“Cosy cottage stay”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2015

We spent a lovely winters weekend at this cottage in January. The cottage is a stones throw from the beach - which provides miles of a beautiful coast line for long walks (and a nice little cafe to warm up after the walks too!). Inside the cottage, it has everything needed for a comfortable stay, a very well equipped kitchen and wonderful wood burner for cosy evenings in. The garden looked wonderful, and would be perfect for summer BBQ's and evenings sitting under the stars - we hope to return to enjoy this wonderful cottage in the summer months too!

“What a great place and so close beach....and the dog's allowed to come too”

Loverly place, cosy and very easy access to the beach. The bed was very comfy. I most enjoyed making a fire and drinking gin while chatting with friends. Would defiantly recommend it and look forward to next time.

“Perfect for people with dogs”

Sevena Cottage is a home from home and perfect for people with dogs, The cottage was clean and tidy, homely and well equipped. It had everything we needed for a get away from it all holiday. Cottage in a quiet setting and just a minute walk from the beach and dunes which we never got tired of walking. Winterton is a charming village with all the required amenities (village stores, Pub/restaurant/fish and chip shop) along with a must visit beach café, perfect for a post dog walking coffee and eats. Plenty of dog walking beyond the dunes to explore and haven for wildlife.

“Hope to return!”

We stayed for three nights in this lovely cottage. The property is so well equipped with everything thought of and much bigger than we expected it to be. Clean and comfortable and in such a lovely location, the beach being just a short walk away where we walked each day. We also went to Horsey to see the seals. Our son is nearly 4, so stairs not an issue, but they are quite steep, not sure if stair gates can be provided if smaller children would be staying. Overall a really great place which we would recommend to anyone.

Thanks for the great review, we certainly do have stair gates for guests with small children, be lovely to have you back next year. Lynne

“A lovely quiet place for a relaxing break.”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2014

The property location was exactly as described, with the beach a short stroll away. Although a traditional cottage, it provided three well sized bedrooms and was fitted out with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The good sized garden was very welcome, particularly for the dog! On arrival the cottage was very clean, tidy and well presented, and it was apparent that it has restored and refurbished to a good standard. All communication with the owner both before and during our stay was responded to in very good time, and questions were answered in full. We would definitely consider returning to this property, and would recommend it as a good base for a holiday in the immediate vicinity and the north and east coast of Norfolk. There are good walks around Winterton-on-Sea, both across the dunes, along the beach and on the footpaths, which run around the village and to surrounding areas. The local shops in the village provided necessities and the fish bar was a particular favourite.

“Clean modern cottage”
