“Badly in need of TLC”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2017

Having just returned home after curtailing my holiday by 2 days I thought I would give my opinion of this property. Firstly I think it is over priced for what you get, I agree with other reviewers that it is in a great location and it could be fantastic holiday accommodation but it is sadly lacking in TLC. Along with a guest from the previous week, who wrote in the visitors book in the accommodation, it was lacking in kitchen utensils and if you wanted to use the BBQ there was nothing to clean a very dirty BBQ and the microwave looked past its best and was corroded on the inside. Unfortunately things started off badly on the Saturday we arrived, being met by Jan who said as she was opening the door that there was a problem in the bathroom, when she showed us the bath panel was away from the bath and was split, the wooden floor had warped to an extent the it was a couple of inches high in one position. She said she was trying to get someone out to fix it, but this didn't happen. But the most annoying problem was that the main bedroom smelt damp and after 5 nights it was too much, my wife commented to me it smelt like a cave.

“Fantastic cottage in the most amazong place”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2017

My partner and I stayed in Bobtail cottage for a week with our 3 dogs and absolutely loved it. We stayed there 2 years ago but loved it even more this time. The cottage is very clean, perfect location and ideal for the dogs (fenced in garden). I couldn't recommend Winterton-On-Sea enough, we love it! It's the most peaceful little village with a very dog friendly and quiet beach (we went in June so can't really comment on whether it's as quiet when the schools are on holiday). You can walk for miles along the Norfolk Coastal Path and the Dunes Cafe at Winterton-On-Sea sells lovely coffee and cake. The pub in the village is also very dog friendly and all the staff are really friendly. We will definitely be back. Perfect week away.

“A Very comfortable Cottage”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2016

Excellent location right near the beach. The cottage was very well kept and very clean with a small garden . The garden was very well maintained. The village of Winterton-on -Sea was a very quiet village with a shop , post office, Fish & Chip Shop and Pub which done excellent food and was also very dog friendly.

“Lovely cottage, had a wonderful stay”

We stayed in Bobtail Cottage for one week. The cottage was very spacious, well equipped and was spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend. We plan to return next year!

“Perfect relaxing break...”

Lovely place to stay, great location, close to beach, shop & pub! Really clean accomodation, have stayed at other properties owned by the same person and all are fantastic. Have been really spoilt as won't stay anywhere else now!
