- Very Good
We had a fantastic stay. Cottage is beautiful and so clean and warm. Location is perfect with a short walk to the sand dunes and stunning beach. It was a pleasure meeting Jan who is very helpful and does a great job. We would def recommend to friends and family. Thank you Richard for a great stay and we will be coming back. Our cocker spaniel had a great stay as well. We would recommend the Nelsons Head for lunch or dinner. The food is top notch.
Having stayed at Church Farms Cottage before in Little Tern Cottage, Geraldine and I together with the dogs, we were ALL looking forward to our stay in Natterjack Cottage. Whilst the dunes and sands of Winterton and exploring the local area did not disappoint, sadly Natterjack Cottage did!!!! Mainly due to the low beams and door arches!!! With being over 6ft tall and sadly follicularly challenged, I departed Natterjack with a several cuts and a number of bruises on my head!!! One can only 'duck successfully' so many times without the inevitable consequence of colliding with the beams or door arches!!! I do think an entry on the website to make people aware BEFORE booking that there are low beams & door arches in Natterjack Cottage to negotiate, then perhaps that may assist others of a similar 'height disposition'! Having said that I am certain WE WILL BE BACK, dogs and all to Church Farm Cottages......just not to Natterjack.
Wonderful, comfortable, accommodation, with added bonus of a lovely secure garden for little ones to play. Definitely home from home. Perfectly located for great pub and the gorgeous sandy beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to Natterjack Cottage and Winterton... Thank you for a Perfect Family Weekend
Lovely cottage comfortable king-size bed clean fresh bedlinen, only one seatee and a small chair which was OK for us as a couple but not for 4 adults, nice dinning table with 4 chairs, the ceiling is quite low again was fine for us but wouldn't be if you are tall, nice small fenced garden laid to lawn plenty of parking, very close to beach and dunes.modern and warm would recommend.
“Beautiful Cottage in a Beautiful Place, Winterton-on-Sea”
I travelled down with my wife and friend who were staying in this cottage for a week. I only accompanied them for the day, taking our two West Highland White Terrier dogs, whilst she took her friend and her Alsatian. We have stayed in the main Barn conversion before in Winterton, which is part of this small, but elegantly and tastefully converted old farm and outbuildings. This conversion, (Natterjack Cottage) is as thoughtfully and beautifully converted as the other buildings, by Richard Kenyon and his wife..brilliantly and lovingly maintained and assisted, by the irrepressible housekeeper, Jan..don't ever let this lady go..an absolute gem..nothing too much trouble! The accommodation comprises two ample sized bedrooms, kitchen and living room, with a good sized enclosed garden and is very well equipped, as are all the cottages in this small development: My wife and I with friends have stayed in three..absolutely no complaints.
Fantastic well equipped accommodation with great enclosed garden ideal for our spaniel wifi for the teenagers and a lovely local pub for us Location is fab just 10 minutes from the beautiful sandy beach and great dunes cafe for breakfast, cakes and drinks Can't wait to go back !
“Beautiful Cottage and Surroundings”
Stayed with husband, one child and two dogs. Fab cottage, everything you needed in the cottage. Dogs loved it too as there was a garden. Great walks on the beach, Lovely pub in the village and cafe near the beach. We will stay again next year.
“A perfect break”
If you want a quiet, dog friendly, holiday break away from the tat of Hemsby & Great Yarmouth then Winterton-on-Sea is the place for you. A lovely village with super beach, two shops and a real ale pub with good food. If you are looking for a character property combined with up to date quality features and fitments then any one of the 4 holiday properties in the Church Farm development is for you. We stayed in Natterjack and found it fully equipped and perfect for our needs. Owners Richard & Helen were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. There aren't too many places we would want to return to but this is certainly one.
“Superb accommodation, children and dogs loved it and we did too!”
Natterjack cottage was finished to a high standard with excellent facilities a true home from home. We found the owner very friendly, approachable and helpfull. The secure garden was perfect for us having young children and dogs. Off road parking made loading and unloading the car safe and easy. The dog friendly beach was only a short walk or drive away. Lovely sandy beach and we even saw a seal! Winterton itself is a lovely quiet village with a pub, post office, shops and a fish and chip shop. The beach café served great food and drink too. All in all for us it was perfect, can't wait to go back.
