Description from owner

Description

Professionally renovated to exceptional standards, Peak Cottage in the picturesque village of Winster combines antiquity with 21st century living. Set on four different levels, originally 2 miners cottages, they were joined together in the 19th century and provide ideal accommodation for two couples or a family group.
Calming hues, antique oak and richly coloured fabrics give the cottage a cosy, country retreat feel. The woodburning stoves are perfect for cold winter evenings, although central heating in every room ensures luxurious warmth and comfort all year round.

Sitting Room:
A spacious open plan room with a large L-shaped sofa, fireside chair, occasional tables and a flat screen TV. Stone fireplace with a log burning stove. Door leads out into the walled garden.

Dining/Morning room:
With solid oak flooring, dining table and four chairs, 2 comfortable wing chairs and a large footstool. Flat screen TV. Original stone fireplace with a log burning stove.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a semi firm double bed, for a great nights sleep. A double wardrobe, 2 chest of drawers and a dressing table/study area. There's also a comfortable armchair by the side of an original stone fireplace.

Bedroom 2: The twin bedroom has two large single beds with comfortable, semi firm mattresses, and a hand painted, period wardrobe. A door leads directly to the en-suite with a large walk in shower.

Bathrooms:
Family bathroom: Has a shaped shower bath with large, rain shower head, 2 drawer vanity unit with inset hand basin and a WC. Both the bath and basin have waterfall taps. There's also a heated towel rail and hair dryer.

En-suite: Has a large shower cubicle with fixed and movable, rain shower heads, hand basin and a WC. There's also a heated towel rail and a large storage cupboard.

Kitchen:
A compact but well equipped, stylish kitchen; Solid oak flooring, oven, hob, extractor, microwave, toaster, kettle, refrigerator with ice box. Iron and ironing board. In fact everything you could need for a self-catering holiday.

Utility/Boot Room:
The outside utility room houses a washing machine and an additional fridge with ice box. It's also a convenient place to store your muddy walking boots.

Courtyard Garden:
This pretty walled garden has herbaceous plants and a bay tree surrounded by traditional Derbyshire stone walls. On sunny days you can breakfast outside with views over Winster and the rolling hills of the Peak District.
