“Relaxing break with stunning views”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2016

Graham and Amanda were so welcoming. I instantly felt at home. The cottage was very clean and cosy. It was Based in the countryside with magnificent views. I took my dog with me and there was opportunity for plenty of walking. It would be a great place to take children. There was a large enclosed field with football goalposts. Numerous small cars for children to play on. The cutest Shetland pony. Definitely visit again. Thank you

“Beautiful surroundings friendly owners clean cosy accommodation”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2016

This is a lovely place to stay. The views are amazing and the cottage was clean and had everything you need, washing machine, microwave, DVD player. Owners very welcoming and even though cottage is close to the owners home you are left to it unless you need help with something. Recommend this cottage and location to couples, families anyone. We did the Dovedale trail (about 20minutes away) and the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath (about 40 minutes away) and there is lots more to do if you have the time. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

“A fantastic break at Meadow Cottage”

Reviewed 10 May 2014

Our family stayed in Meadow Cottage for 1 week over the Easter break. What a wonderful setting! Very safe for our young children to run freely and our dog had a ball. We were a family of 5 adults and 3 children and so the house was a perfect size. The owners were extremely welcoming and on hand for any questions that we had. The children were entertained with the games available and a lovely courtyard with picnic tables was nice on the warmer evenings. I spoke with my whole family before writing this and the only small suggestion we would have is to install a better shower as it isn't very powerful and with so many people using it in the morning it took quite a while. The location is perfect for Alton Towers and lovely villages nearby are worth a visit. My husband and I were keen to return to the smaller cottage in October but it appears to be already booked - we should have been more organised because it really is a great place to relax and unwind after the thrills of Alton Towers!

“Lovely relaxing break. Terrific owner perfect for a getaway but near many attractions.”

I stayed here for a solo great way and would highly recommend the place. If you love your peace and quiet the place is for you. Graham was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is well stocked. There is loads to do in the area. Some great walks and caves. Plus Alton Towers and Stoke on Trent very close by.
