“Spacious, comfortable with every amenity and good location.”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2016

Immaculate home, with every extra. Owners were very helpful with directions and keys and suggestions of things to do. Pixie is a great house with plenty room to separate squabbling children and a safe garden in which they can play. There are three bedrooms plus a handy office. There are two full bathrooms upstairs plus a downstairs loo which made this a very workable house for the increasingly vain family members who find it tough to pass a mirror without checking themselves out. Ham Island may well be a sleepy location but it is also very convenient for Windsor. It was very relaxing being on the river and watching it flow by while sitting in the large sunroom. The living room is very large with an attractive large dining table. Kitchen is a good size too with another table, and if it lacks anything well I never noticed. Staying at Pixie made for a very easy break and I will definitely enquire about going back the next time I plan to visit the area. I should also mention the great carry out restaurant food there is in the neighbourhood- top score to "Punto's " an excellent Italian nearby that delivers food. Thanks for a great stay!

We are delighted our guests enjoyed Pixie Place and in particular the naturally light filled conservatory ( a favourite room for all visitors). We do hope to see our valued guests next time they visit Windsor.

“A little piece of heaven!”

Recently returned from a week's stay at Pixie Place where we celebrated my fathers 80th Birthday. Fabulous location away from all the hussle & bussle yet close to everything, and in a lovely peaceful setting. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife on the river and despite it being bitterly cold that week we were very cosy and even sat in the conservatory several afternoons enjoying the winter sunshine. Loads of places to visit nearby. My parents were too elderly to enjoy walks in Windsor Great Park but that would be a great place to explore if you enjoy the outdoors. The Windsor farm shop is nearby with a great range of food and a lovely café which is highly recommended.Everyone especially enjoyed a trip to Richmond and the drive around the park. Fabulous to get so close to all the stags and deer followed by refreshments at Pembroke Lodge where you can enjoy the wonderful vista over the Thames. Went to the theatre in Windsor one evening, a delightful venue and highly recommended. We ate out a lot but if you wanted to cater for yourself everything is provided for you. The accommodation is very spacious, plenty of comfy seating and although there were several generations to cater for, you could still find a quiet corner if you wanted a peaceful read or merely enjoy the wildlife. We had a great time and would like to visit again. I'm sure it must be lovely in summer when you could enjoy sitting outside watching all the activity on the river. Nael & Angela were very helpful and the whole booking process was easy and straightforward. Would highly recommend it to anyone contemplating a stay in Windsor.

We are so pleased to see our guests enjoy their stay and find the convenience of the location of Pixie Place. Windsor is the most sought after tourist area to visit in the UK. The owners

“Really happy - what a great house & location”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2013

We were so happy to arrive at the Pixie Place house in Old Windsor. We were not exactly sure where we were coming to, but as we got close we realized we had made a great (lucky!) decision. The house is located wonderfully down quiet country lanes on a private road. The house itself is new and modern, but retains a great deal of charm both inside and out. It backs on to the river just a few feet away and is quiet and surrounded by huge trees. The few folks we did encounter on the road were friendly and happy to see us! The house itself has everything you could ask for - all modern amenities and is of a good size. We were 2 adults with an infant and also 2 other adults and 2 teenagers. Everyone was happy and comfortable. No reason whatsoever we would not return here on a future holiday if we're in need of a place to stay. Again, we feel lucky that we found this house. The communication with the owners was superior both before, during, and after our stay. What more could you ask for?

We're pleased to see another one of our guests seemed to have found that Pixie Place is a hidden gem leading them discover a refreshingly different style of charm, just minutes away from Central Windsor and a 20 minute train ride into London. Pixie Place is a unique and luxurious riverside holiday home on the River in Windsor, Berkshire, England which adds to the delight for all the family.

“A magical Home In an Idiyllic location”

Pixie Place is Home in an ideal loation on an isalnd by the river Thames with scenic walks and close proximity to Windsr and only a short trip from London. We loved the spacious airy conservatory where we watched ducks and swans waddling on the river bank into the beautifl garden. The house was spotlessly clean with a well stocked kitchen and with all the faciliies we could possibly wish for. The living room and dining area ws ideal for ou extended family gatherings. The bedrooms were contemporary and comfortable ad the bathrooms were modern with excellent showers. The private office space with wifi made it a usefula addition to the faciliries made available to us. All nfurnishings were of the highest standard. Pixie Place cast its enchanted spell on us - we can't wait to return.

It is always make us happy to know that our geusts had a nice and comfortable stay. The owners

“Haven by the water”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2013

I stayed at Pixie Place for a week with friends last month and had a relaxing, peaceful week. We found booking the accommodation straightforward and the communication from the owners was excellent, they replied to our queries very promptly. Booking was easy and payment by PayPal was a safe and convenient method. The house is located by the river with beautiful views from the sitting room and a deck that was perfect for enjoying a drink on in the evenings. Whilst there we visited Windsor castle and watched the changing of the guard, the house was located perfectly so as to be near enough many attractions but still remote enough to enjoy a restful break. The furnishings in the property were plush and comfortable and all the included extras such as wifi and sky movies were a nice touch. Though we didn't make use of it this time, in future we thought it would be a good location to stay before a flight from Heathrow, as it is only a short drive away. Overall I would recommend a stay at this property to anyone looking for picturesque views and a country feel yet so convenient to get to the buzz of central London.

We're happy to see we have another satisfied and content guest who has truly enjoyed their holidaying experience in Pixie Place.

“A dream come true”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2013

My family and I have such fond memories of our stay at Pixie Place. We've traveled extensively and have stayed in some of the finest accommodations. But this location has a special place in our hearts. Our daughters delighted to feeding ducks on the river. My husband and I appreciated the easy ride from the local station to London. The home is both cozy and spacious given the comfortable furnishings. We appreciate the strict adherence to 'no smoking' inside. Given our busy lives in the States, we were fortunate to stay in a place that felt very much like home. We could pretend to be living abroad with all of the conveniences! This beautifully appointed property is home to a few mother-of-pearl inlaid furnishings which add to it's allure.

We are so happy to welcome our guests from all over the world and give them the feeling they could be at home. A greater pleasure is achieved when they return.

“Superb holiday getaway very highly recommended.”

We arrived to find the house in a superb location and the property just as described by the owners. We were pleasantly surprised how well maintained the property was and was thoroughly cleaned to a high standard. Each bedroom had a supply of good quality freshly laundered towels nicely presented , the bed linen was of good quality and there was more than enough cushions and pillows ready for a good night sleep. As we arrived with three young children, their needs had also been catered for including a cot and high chair, enough information leaflets on local attractions and children's attractions to keep a family more than entertained and the property also benefited from Sky TV in the more than spacious lounge area and an extra TV in the master bedroom. As the property is triple glazed we didn't notice any aircraft noise as described in the previous review unless you were actually stood outside taking a keen interest in the planes as our two year old did !!!! The views overlooking the river on a beautiful sunny New Years morning were emailed back home to share with our family and friends !!! We found the owners to be more than helpful and communication was excellent, even advising us which trains took us into London on a 'fast service' (21 mins). A ten minute drive into Windsor with ample parking, superb restaurants, shops and entertainment not to mention a visit to the castle was superb very highly recommended. Thankyou for having us !!!

There is nothing pleases us more than to know that our guests have enjoyed their stay in our house, and everything lived up to expectation and more. Our priority is to make sure that our adverts and representations describes our house as it is exactly. We look forward to see our guests return for more visits. The Owners
