Description

Beckside-lodge is a privately owned, superior 3 bedroomed traditional pine log cabin on the shores of Lake Windermere. Entrance to lodge is via a ramp for ease of access. Ideal for families with children and pet friendly.

Set in the most idyllic and scenic location in the heart of the Lake District National Park, and nestling 2.5 miles centrally between the towns of Windermere and Ambleside, the lodge is set within an exclusive 4-star award winning holiday park.

Perfectly positioned for a relaxing peaceful holiday, but within easy reach of the bustling towns and visitor attractions this delightful part of the country has to offer and all only a 30 minute drive from junction 36 of the M6.

Accommodation comprises of; Gas central heating with electric fire. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, shared on-site laundry facilities (coin operated), dishwasher, 43" Ultra HD Smart TV, upscaling DVD player, selection of dvd's, books and games. Fuel and power included in rent. Bed linen and towels included. Cot and highchair available free on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Decked terrace patio with furniture.

On-site small shop and lounge/restaurant 2 mins walk.

Note: Although all ground floor, the property is accessed via ramp access. Mobile phone coverage and WiFi signal can be intermittent. Guests must obtain a code from the site reception for access to the site. Use of leisure facilities, e.g. swimming pool, gym, sauna etc at the cost of £15 per group for the duration of the stay.

“Nice place but......”

On arrival the lodge seemed nice until we discovered that the water was either cold or luke warm which meant showers were impossible.We phoned the owner and a plumber arrived the next day but couldn&#… More

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. I am a little disappointed with your review as at the time of the problem with the boiler I had a plumber there within 2 hours, which I feel was brilliant response time. As you say, you realised the radiators were not working and I had the plumber return, again within an hour!!! It transpired that the boiler needed replacing, which is something nobody could envisage. Needless to say we replaced the boiler immediately after your stay. Problems do happen whether it is at a holiday home or our own residence, it is how you deal with the problem which should be commented upon. regards

Lovely lodge in a good location to the facilities. Clean, great xmas decor, the only feedback would be more wine glasses as there was only 2. There was a drains smell in the main bathroom on arrival, but having put drain blocker liquid down the toilet, sink and bath it did disappear. Would book again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I am a little surprised at the lack of wine glasses at the lodge as we constantly keep check on replacements and we did have 8 at the beginning of December? I can only apologise. How do damage deposits work?

If Kevin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
