Recently awarded a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, Grasmere lodge is a deluxe 2 bed lodge situated within the exclusive White Cross Bay holiday park on the shores of Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District National Park. The lodge has one double with an on suite bathroom and a twin bedroom and a further family bathroom. The lodge also benefits from a sofa bed in the living room for extra space. The lodge can fit a maximum of 4 people and one baby under 2 (in a cot) and included in your stay is all linen (for the main bedrooms) and towels. The lodge is furnished to a high standard and includes a fully fitted kitchen, dining room that can seat four persons and for your comfort the lodge is equipped with the following:

- TV's in the lounge and bed rooms with selected sky channels including Sky Sports 1 & 3 and family movies

- Washing machine

- BBQ

- Outside furniture

- Private car park spaces for 2 cars

- Gas central heating and double glazing

Within the White Cross Bay holiday park there are a number of communal facilities available to guests and included in your stay at Grasmere lodge:

White Cross Bay is only 2 miles from both Windermere and Ambleside giving great access to all leading attractions, shops and restaurants. These can be accessed via a regular bus service directly outside the park. Furthermore, there are excellent sailing, water sports and biking facilities nearby along with great walks and mountain scenery.

Getting around

White Cross Bay is only 2 miles from both Windermere and Ambleside giving great access to all leading attractions, shops and restaurants. The closest train station is Windemere and there is a bus stop next to the site entrance. I can offer any help or guidance on getting around the Lakes

“In need of modernisation”

We stayed here for 3 nights and on first impression it’s a nice cosy lodge. Unfortunately it is in need of modernisation especially the bathrooms. The walls are covered in wallpaper! The rest of the lodge decoration is very outdated and looks tired. The other downside to our stay was on the last night. Lodges 24 and 25 which are directly opposite had 12 women staying and were up until 3.00 am outside drinking and making a lot of noise. We had very little sleep and had to be up early for our long journey home. I am surprised that a family holiday park allows large groups to stay in the lodges. Very disappointed and would not return.

“Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location.”

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Grasmere .The lodge is lovely, clean and has everything you could need. The surroundings are beautiful and the facilities on site are great. I would highly recommend it.

“Lovely lodge”

We were very pleased to have chosen this lodge for our stay at white cross bay, the location was great in the park and the lodge itself was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for our stay with secure outdoor decking perfect for our young children. Would highly recommend.

“Better than Home!”

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge and the park. The lodge was modern but still cosy and home from home if not better! We had everything we needed although I did have to improvise with a couple of utensils not found in the kitchen. Beds were very comfy, linen and towels etc were nice quality and clean. We couldn't get the WiFi to work which was great because it meant the kids had to actually make conversation and play some of the fab games that we found in the lodge. Would definitely stay at this lodge again and hopefully very soon!

“LOVELY LODGE IN AN IDYLLIC LOCATION”

My wife and I spent a long weekend at the lodge. It is a lovely property and so close to the lakes where we spent most of our time there, other than going to see Fairport Convention at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal. Thoroughly recommended. The only miniscule complaint mentioned to reception is that the signage to the property from reception could be improved. We were unable to access the internet either. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again next year

How do damage deposits work?

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
