"Mysty is a little hidden treasure in Windermere."
I was very happily surprised by Mysty, the B & B more than met my expectations. Pictures cannot show how divine this little treasure really is. It is perfect for a solo person or for a couple wanting a getaway whether it is for a weekend or more. The private courtyard is perfect to sit and relax, the tidy kitchen has all the basics but done with little touches of thoughtfulness and the bedroom is cozy. The village is nearby with plenty of shops and eateries for one to browse and relax. I was also pleasantly surprised at all there is to do and see in the area such as The World of Beatrix Potter plus the Lake views that are wonderful. I would recommend Mysty to anyone traveling in the area, it IS a little treasure to enjoy.

"An amazing amount of detail for two packed into such a small space"
Windermere is an excellent location for exploring the Lake District and Mysty is an excellent base for two people there for that purpose. The location is very convenient as there is a parking space and all the town's amenities including shops, train and bus services are within easy walking distance. The living space is tiny but includes an awful lot of detail and was beautifully prepared for our arrival. There is a separate and very adequate bathroom and the accommodation provides a warm and cosy base after the day's venturing. The bed doubles as the seating but this is a fact and not a criticism and there is a table that can be stored away when not needed. There's no shortage of things needed for everyday living and you don't have to rely on takeaways as the kitchen area is well provided for self catering. Everything would be even more perfect if BT could be persuaded to extend their WiFi service to include the property.

"Fantastic little HQ at a bargain price"
What a wonderful little 'apartment'. We booked Misty on a whim, having seen the accomodation online and being quite weary of the low price and the fact there is no living/dining room, we decided to book for a short break to test it out and were more than pleasantly surpirsed. The space although small is used amazingly well. Full compact kitchen, comfy double bed, Bath & shower, everything you could ever want if you just want a base to explore the lakes. The bathroom is a little small, but as someone 6ft2 i was still able to use it effectively. I would also like to point out the whole place was imaculately clean and tidy, which can't always be said for holiday lets. 2 minor grumbles: the TV was not well placed for any downtime, but that's not why you visit the lakes, and there was no wifi, which isn't the norm for a holiday let anyway. We've now booked for 7 nights for our anniversary. The space itself is probably only as big as a decent sized master bedroom, but it really has virtually all u need. Perfect price, perfect location, wonderfully cosy.

Cheap rates, fantastic central village location, great communication with the owner leading up to arrival i have no faults with this place at all. Had a nice quiet weekend away with my partner, relaxing weekend away from the kids, and it is exactly what we got, right in the heart of windermere, a stones throw away from the lake, the place is small and compact but has everything you need for a weekend away, great little touches from the owners like milk, tea/coffee, cereal etc upon arrival. We are already planning on visiting over the summer.

Whilst this isn't the most comprehensive B&B, because we wanted a place to sleep whilst enjoying the Lakes, it ticked all the boxes. A central location, own parking space and within walking distance of the local amenities, drinking houses and eateries, it was ideal for myself and the missus. Don't expect the Ritz, cos it aint, but for a short stay in a clean self contained flat go for it. This will suit couples on bikes, motorbikes or travelling light. Very happy
