Description

The Fisherman's Cot is a truly unique and special holiday experience, situated in exclusive woodland known as The Irish Village. It offers peace and tranquilly yet is minutes from the beach and town centre. Right on the Saxon Shore Way it is ideal for walking, bird watching, cycling, golf, sailing, wind surfing, sea angling, beach fishing, freshwater fishing or simply chilling in wonderful peaceful surroundings. It is dog friendly and offers cycle and inflatable canoe hire, sailing trips on a traditional sailing vessel and provides free of charge shrimp nets, crab lines and even buckets and spades for the children. Picnic hampers are available from basic to Gourmet with Oysters, Lobster and Champagne, to be enjoyed on the secluded West Beach to watch the wonderful Turner sunsets over the Island or just on the sundeck of the Cot. Fresh eggs are available from the free range hens and honey form the bees kept in the garden.
The Fisherman's Cot is studio style accommodation in the grounds of Connemara House. The wooden cabin style building sleeps up to four in one bedroom, is beautifully decorated in traditional sea side themes and has a wood burning stove which adds atmosphere during winter breaks. En suite shower, toilet and a separate kitchen area with microwave & steamer. There is a TV, Radio, Fridge and WI FI. There are board games should the weather be inclement, everything for a family to enjoy a perfect holiday. The exclusive grounds provides private parking, there is Barbeque on the deck to cook the freshest sea food which can be purchased from the Harbour. Should you want to bring a tent there is a paddock for camping. Eggs are available from the families hens and honey from the bees.

“Great accommodation, amazing location, lovely hosts.”

We love Whitstable and are really pleased to find reasonably priced accommodation. Lovely chalet with a gorgeous garden, we received a very warm welcome from Jo on arrival. Would recommend watching the sunset on the beach with a drink from the Neptune pub. Whitstable is a great place to wander around with lovely shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be visiting again.
