Chic, boutique townhouse, ideally situated for the shops, restaurants and the beach. Comfortable and attractive. it is one of the very few holiday lets in Whitstable to have a four star rating from the English Tourist Board, consistently over several years. All facilties for modern living are provided including wifi.

The Master Bedroom features a king-size bed together with a flat-screen TV with built-in DVD and Freeview player as well as a Radio/Alarm Clock and hair dryer. There is ample space for clothes in one hanging wardrobe and a substantial chest of drawers. There are also convenient bedside tables, a full-length mirror and an electric fan is available. Bath and hand-towels are provided as well as cotton bed-linen.
The second bedroom has a divan bed which can either be used as a single bed or the second bed pulled out to provide a twin-bedded room. A chest of drawers provides storage space. Hanging space is available.
Both bedrooms feature wooden venetian blinds and wooden flooring
The modern, fully-fitted kitchen features a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, waste disposal, microwave, Bosch washer/dryer, and fridge/freezer. Plates, glasses and cutlery are included as well as cooking utensils and the all-important corkscrew! There is also an iron and ironing board.
The bathroom comes complete with insulated bath, new shower and towel radiator.
The property has the benefit of beech flooring throughout as well as double glazing and is centrally-heated.

Immediately close by, at the end of the mews is a car park. Other parking facilities are available in various places including Keams Yard in Island Wall and Gorell Tank car park, opposite the harbour.
3 Harbour Mews is a cottage style property. The front door opens from the street to a small lobby and the staircase as well as the door to the lounge.
The lounge/dining/kitchen area is one open plan space on the ground floor.
The 13 steps to the upper floor are fairly steep. Although there is a handrail it is not likely to be suitable for those with mobility problems. The upper floor consists of two bedrooms plus a bathroom with WC.
The Kent region
Kent is traditionally known as the Garden of England and features stunning countryside.There are plenty of places to visit and sample local produce as well as a wealth of pubs, restaurants and seaside towns.
Whitstable is the best kept secret on the North Kent coast. Just one and a half hours from the centre of London by road or rail, easy access is available to a world of superb restaurants, chic shops and boutiques all based in a uniquely preserved seaside conservation area. It has more independently owned shops in realtion to the amount of the residents than most places in England. It also has stunning restaurants including two Michelin-starred ones within easy distance. The town features frequently in Sunday supplemets and magazines.

"Lovely cottage in central location"
Cottage was well presented and had everything needed. Location was good but noisy when nearby pubs closed. Only car parking is a payable one which was 80p per hour, this should be notified as it adds cost to the stay. We travelled with one teenage son and couldn't see where the space was for a second bed in that room. Beds and pillows were comfortable as was the downstairs seating and dining areas. Nice welcome pack provided along with fresh flowers. Overall Enjoyed our stay and would recommend but warn about cost of parking and no outside space.
There is a link to our own website which explains about the nearby parking, although the surrounding residential streets are FREE day and night, they are popular and spaces may be limited at certain times. There is also a long stay car park about 8 mins walk away. Thanks for your feedback.

A lovely house, well equipped and very central. The house has everything you could want from a home away from home, was very clean and check in/out was smooth. Parking in the short stay seconds away was easy and 80p per hour, free overnight. Whitstable itself has lots of nice restaurants and pubs and plenty to do especially when the weather is good. We ate at Wheelers (must book) and the Crab & Winkle (pricey but worth every penny). We are particularly fussy so if we had to pick something to critique, it would be the bathroom which is a little tired. However, perfectly acceptable, just we are fussy!
Thank you for your comments. Maybe should have said improvements to the bathroom were scheduled for soon after your visit, so consider the bathroom suitably spruced, with new tiles around the bath and new bath panel. Glad you enjoyed your stay, hopefully see you again soon.
