Description from owner

Description

Pebble House is probably the only house in central Whitstable offering that sort of accommodation: 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms - large kitchen/dining area - sizeable garden. And all of that literally a stone's throw from the beach, harbour and main street, in the very heart of the Conservation Area.

The house sleeps 8 people, but will accommodate another 2 for big parties. It can accommodate 2 families comfortably.

Newly renovated, it boasts a very high standard of equipment throughout: WIFI, log burner, cooker range, billiard, Nespresso machine, bread maker, flat screen, barbe q etc etc. It is furnished with an eye for detail and offers a casual luxury feel.

Everything has been thought and made available so that guests enjoy their stay: cooking material, DVDs, books, soft toys, high chair, generous cutlery.....

No expense was spared during this long renovation project. We are proud to offer what we genuinely think is a fantastic value for money deal.

“Excellent”

What a great place home from home and so much to do, the owner Nicolas was very helpful and also agreed late check out. We would love to go back to this amazing house soon. Kitchen is wonderful. Excellent stay

“Absolutely amazing house, attention to detail brilliant, could not be faulted.”

Superb location just off the High Street and a two minute walk from the harbour and then the beach. The attention to detail in this property would be difficult to surpass. The main living area has ample comfortable seating and the kitchen is fully equipped for all larger groups needs. The three bathrooms were well designed and an excellent bonus for our larger party. The added homely extras including the extensive book collection, DVDs and toys made our stay even more enjoyable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house for location, cleanliness, ease and friendliness of booking and attention to detail.

“A very charming and unique house with an excellent location”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

We stayed in this wonderful house with some friends and our three children and really enjoyed it. The location is fantastic: the street is very quiet but it's only 2 minutes walk to the beach or to Whitstable center. The house itself is not what you usually get from a rented place. The whole house has been refurbished with talent and decorated very nicely. It's very clean (it seems fairly new) and is very personalized. There are books, toys for the kids, a stove, a small pool table and a nice little garden where we could enjoy a BBQ. We'll definitely go back.

“charming house definitely stay again”

We loved our stay in this pristine beautifully decorated house. Great decor and everything was well thought out and considered. lovely towels provided and extra details that made our stay so easy - tea towels, toilet roll, hand soap, and really informative manual telling us about the local area and how to use things in the house. Massive communal space - perfect on a sunny day. lazy breakfasts overlooking the sunny garden made for a very relaxing weekend. a 2 minute walk to the high street and the beach. Perfect weekend get away place to stay.

“We feel like at home”

Really comfortable house in the center of a cute village. Perfect for 2 couples with 4 kids. - A lot of toys, books for children, DVD - a perfect kitchen to cook - a large garden - 3 bathroom which is great! We feel like we are in our own house (maybe even better). Owners are really friendly and accommodating.

“Fab stay in centre of town with 8 adults”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2015

The house is lovely, we managed to fit in 8 adults without too much problem - 2 couples and 4 adults in the bunk room. Breakfast and dinner time didn't seem crowded and although we spent most of our time in the kitchen breakfast room, the house is cosy. The ONLY downside is the parking, but we didn't have too much trouble and the double yellows outside the house means you can always unload or re-load at the beginning and end of your stay. The location means you are literally 200 metres to the town centre and 300 metres to the beach. We took our little dog and although the stairs are a little steep and he likes to take two at a time, he had a fab time too. Owner communication was great before and after our stay and we broke a plate during our stay and he was fine about that. I guess the only thing I'd like to see is wifi available. We'll definitely be back as a family and may even drag our friends along again :)

“great location and house”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2014

I stayed in pebble house as a group of 8 friends for a weekend, there was plenty of room for all of us and the house has everything that you need. The house is in a great location, just round the corner from both the high street and harbour. You can't park directly outside of the house but we managed to get a spaced just down the road as there are no permits required. Would definitely stay here again.

“Well equipped cottage with a large kitchen/family room”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2014

Very central so we walked everywhere over the weekend. A lot of thought had gone into decorating the cottage with vintage items which made the cottage feel homely and welcoming. Good use had been made of all available space, 3 bathrooms was a bonus. We would definitely re-visit.

“Fantastic house, great location”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2014

We stayed at Pebble House for a 7 days in August 2014. There were 3 adults and 2 children (3 years' old and 18 months' old). The house is very well equipped and finished to a very high standard. The house itself is stunning and the pebble garden is great. It has a bi-fold back door in the kitchen. I was able to prepare our meals as well as keep an eye on the kids playing in the garden which is safe for small children. The house is also very clean and things like bedding smelt very fresh. There is a small park across the way from the house with swings which the children loved. The house is about a minute or two walk from the main road running through Whitstable and the harbour. There is a bus stop nearby that links Whitstable to Canterbury. The house owners are very efficient and I am looking forward to the next time we will be staying at Pebble House - we are in discussions already to book in Easter 2015! Thank you for bringing this house to the market and thank you for facilitating a great holiday for us; one which we will remember fondly for a very long time.

“Great long weekend retreat in Whitstable”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2014

The house is full of interesting and nice touches, decor and provisions for our young families that stayed for a long weekend. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. Garden provides great gathering space and the little playground across the street was a treat for the kids. Popping into town was close and easy.
