Our horses and cattle will probably greet you upon arrival. Thistle House is a very comfortable and very well maintained home with brand new central heat and air conditioning. Very cozy beds. Tastefully decorated with a slight ranch/rustic theme. All the comforts of home plus more.

You are welcome to venture out with a basket and collect pecans from the pecan grove. Throw a line in at the pond and try your luck at fishing for Blue Gil and Catfish. (Catch and Release) Or explore the creek and hunt for arrowheads! Want to get a tour of the barn and pet the horses? Just ask us!
Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away. Or, Instacart delivers Tom Thumb groceries right to the farmhouse. Newer modern appliances along with plenty of pots, pans and utensils will make preparing big meals a breeze. Gas and charcoal grilling is right out back on the patio.
Grab some wine, build a fire in the fire pit by the pond and sit back and enjoy the country life. S'mores anyone?
Sunsets can be stunning out here. The night sky is amazing with no city lights around. Falling stars can be seen almost every night! Bring your camera and make memories that will last a lifetime.
In the morning, grind up some fresh coffee beans (included) and try our French Press process for a real good cup of coffee.
Go antiquing in Whitesboro and Collinsville. Grab some quality steaks from the local meat market. Run to the Casino for a night of fun. Explore the area lakes. Take a guided fishing tour for some of the areas best Striped Bass fishing.
Hagerman Wildlife Refuge is only about 20 minutes away. Explore the visitors center and then take a tour of the refuge and see all the wildlife right from your car. Highly recommended!
Approximately 20 minutes to Sherman or Gainesville, Texas. Where you can drive by some amazing turn of the century (and older) mansions, shop unique stores, and eat at great area restaurants.
Want to experience a real German town? Well drive on over to Muenster, Texas. It will only take you about a half hour. Antique stores are abundant. And shop at the German grocery store and stock up on fresh made cheese, all sorts of German pastries and many other items you can only get from Fischer's Meat Market. It is a great experience for sure!
