From the owner

This delightful 300 year old fisherman's cottage has been fully modernised, yet retains many original quirky and unique features. It is superbly located on the harbourside and small beach, just 20 metres from all the local restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the famous 199 steps. From the four front windows of the property guests can enjoy fabulous views directly on to the harbour/ beach and out to sea. It's near impossible to to find a front line location/luxury holiday cottage with stunning views in front of the harbour and beach, this is the one.

The cottage is fully equipped with all that the self catering visitor may need, including a modern gallery kitchen with black granite worktops, built-in Bosch oven hob and dishwasher. In the sitting room/kitchen is solid oak floorboards, a comfortable modern black leather corner suite, black wall fire and black wall mounted sky TV. Free WiFi is available. The house bathroom has marble flooring an old style Victorian bath with claw feet in addition to a modern corner shower cubicle. Old style cast radiators provide central heating.

The cottage sleeps 5 in two doubles (1 ensuite) and one single room, with an additional shared bathroom. All 3 bedrooms enjoy fantastic views over the harbour, beach and out to sea. All windows have stylish window shutters, all bedroom furniture is solid oak. Towels and bedding included in the price.

Children are welcome but no pets. Please note there is moderate slope leading to the cottage and, with angled stairs both outside and inside the cottage, may mean the cottage is not suitable for the very young, elderly or infirm.

The cottage does not have dedicated car parking as it is adjacent to the local beach. Guests can drop off and pick up from Church Street (50 yards from the cottage) and then use the local public car park which is a five minute walk away.

Thank you for your review. The cottage is nearly 250 years old and so, whilst this makes the cottage a bit quirky and unusual, it also means strange stairs and bulging walls. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Adam (the owner) a message.

If Adam (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
