“Fantastic house by the sea with all conveniences”
Wonderful place to stay at. It was light, airy and very clean with all mod cons. Excellent location so handy for sea, town and walks but so quiet at night. The weather was somewhat cold and windy so did not make full use of garden and all facilities at the house. Would definitely recommend and would return. So much to do in the area that one week was not long enough.
When the weather is good in Weymouth it's fantastic! We're so sorry it wasn't great for you but glad you had a good time regardless, thank you!
“Perfect Hideaway - yet close to the action”
We stayed at "The Tides" for 5 days for our Easter holidays. The property is located in a quiet part of town, close to the sea and within walking distance of downtown Weymouth. The house is kept immaculately clean and everything was in perfect working condition. The well maintained interior, including the white staircase is almost too perfect for a family. As travelers from the continent, we enjoyed the fluffy comforters on the beds and the towels that were provided by the owners so we did not have to take any on our flights. The Weymouth area is an ideal location for the nature minded, many things to explore: like fossil hunting in Lyme Regis, wondering about the gazillions of pebbles on Chesil beach, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Old Harry Rocks. Weymouth itself offers a great variety of restaurants, shops and things to do - like exploring the tidal pools, enjoying the large beach and the harbor setting.
Thank you :) We love Weymouth too, we're so glad you had a good time!
“What more could you ask for”
This propery is very well situated. It's far enough from the town to be nice and quiet and yet such a short walk to all you could wish for. There is a lovely walk along the coast in either direction so no complaints on location. There's a fish & chip shop and a chinese takeaway (which was lovely by the way) less than a 5 min walk....there's plenty of pubs within a 5 minute walk too. The shops in Weymouth were a little bit further but still an easy walk away. The meal at Nothe Tavern was excellent. Nothe Fort is so close, and the walk there was lovely through the park - we were greeted with friendly squirrels all the way. And definitely no complaints about the house. There seemed to be every amenity available and much more. I can't think of anything that you'd need that wasn't there. Plenty of beds, pillows, heaters if needed, well equiped kitchen. The instructions given were clear and easy to follow and everything was handled marvellously - thank you. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Thanks you, so glad all went well for you :)
“Fine property, conveniently situated, excellent facilities.”
The house is attractive, outside and in, and has a fresh, nearly-new, bright appearance. The garden is pleasant and secluded. The house has all the necessary facilities, plus games & a nice selection of DVDs. A one minute walk and you are looking out to sea and Portland. A five minute walk will take you to the harbour (8 mins back!). The beach and main shopping area are perhaps 10 minutes further on. I personally loved the living room with its large round-the -corner table. Ideal for writing & games. No towel provision was the only inconvenience - we forgot to take ours with us! All in all a lovely holiday home.
Lovely homely house which is light and airy, all mod cons and so handy for the town and beach, could live there.....
We strongly recommend this holiday home - it is clean, comfortable, very well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches ( masses of games & DVds for children - and adults ). The owners are very helpful and you can tell they want you to love this house as much as they do..Newton cove is on your doorstep and the Harbour & beach ten minutes away. Weymouth offers family fun, fascinating history, stunning views and a chance to relax - you won't want to leave !
“Lovely home to stay in and a great location”
This is a wonderful rental home, the owners maintain the property to a very high standard. When we arrived the house was beautifully clean and tidy and had all you need whilst staying away. The location is perfect for walking into Weymouth (about 10 minutes) and also as a base to travel to other popular locations such as Dorchester, Monkey World and Lulworth Cove. If we were to stay in Dorset again, we would definately stay here again. Highly recommended.
Thank you, we're glad you had a good time :)
“Lovely holiday at great location”
The Tides is a modern townhouse virtually on the coastal path, very close to town/harbour & only 10 mins from the main Weymouth beach. Very clean and well-equipped. Good baby equipment although with two flights of stairs a second stairgate would have been useful. Enclosed garden great for toddlers. Would definitely stay there again.
Thank you :) Hopefully we've covered most things for children i.e. cot, high chair, bathroom step, bowls, cups, etc and a detachable stairgate.....we're obviously worried about children falling downstairs and not upstairs but will definitely consider putting a second gate at Tides Gx
“beautiful, homely and completly child friendly.”
a stunning house with beautiful views, so well kitted out for kids and in prime position of shops, and beach.
We think so too, thank you!
“A real 'home from home' in a brilliant location”
The house is great - really comfortable, very nicely decorated, light and airy and everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday (there is a great dvd libary and even bikes and crabbing lines in the garage!). Weymouth harbour, beach and many varied shops, restaurants and entertainments are all within a few minutes walk. There is loads to do and see in and around Weymouth and we would definately recommend it as a brilliant holiday destination and will be back ourselves soon!
Thank you for your kind words, we're so glad you had a good time :)
