This surf lodge has been recently renovated and is modern and contemporary in design with a large and comfortable corner sofa in the living room. The property has an open plan sitting room/ diner and kitchen to maximise space.

There is a family bathroom, so ideal for those with young children and a separate w/c.

Property 96 comprises of three bedrooms, one king and two with two singles in each. All the bedrooms are bright and airy with plenty of storage and wardrobe space. All bedding and linen is provided, you will just need to bring along towels and tea towels.

Just off the kitchen, the door opens out on to a patio area for easy al fresco dining. The back door leads to a ramp and out on the lawned areas, with views of the sea beyond.

All chalets and sea front houses are ideal for couples and families with everything designed to maximise space for a comfortable stay.

The family bathroom has a WC and bath with shower attachment. TV with Freeview and DVD. Electric heating. Ample free parking. Beautiful views of the large lawned areas and managed gardens with the ocean beyond. All chalets are single storey and have a small paved area or decking. Picnic benches are also situated throughout the site. Regrettably no pets are allowed on site. All our properties are individually designed and fitted, therefore there are a few variations so do please specify when booking what specifications you require i.e. bath or shower e.t.c.

Golden Bay Holiday Village was built on the grounds of the prestigious Royal Hotel fifty years ago. We have direct access to the award winning blue flag Westward Ho! beach via a purpose built wheel chair friendly ramp through a row of traditional multi-coloured beach huts.

We are set beside two miles of sandy, award winning blue flag Westward Ho! beach on the North Devon coastline, and surrounded by the fantastic cliff walks on the South West Coastal path. Golden Bay is situated just a short stroll from the village shops and eateries of Westward Ho!

Getting around

By Car: From M5 take junction 27 then A361 and follow this road to Barnstaple. Turn left on the A39 to Bideford and after approximately 10 miles you go over the new bridge, straight over the next roundabout, then approximately 1.5 miles take the turning on the right B3236 for Westward Ho! Follow this road down the steep hill and round the sharp bend and immediately turn left into Merley Road. Our entrance is on the right. By train; Barnstaple station is less than ten miles away

Interaction with guest

Our lettings team are based on site so have a true understanding and in depth knowledge of each of our properties. Our reception is open 9-5 Monday - Friday and varies during the season on the weekend. If you are arriving when reception is closed then we will make arrangements for the keys. A member of management and our maintenance man both live on site so should you have any issues out of hours there is always someone on hand. (Only chalets let by the company and not private individuals can offer this service).
