The Devon region
The craggy coastline leading the South West Coast Path through Bideford Bay, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty takes you into pretty coastal towns such as Lynton and Lynmouth and through rural greenery. The cobbled hillside private fishing village of Clovelly evokes an era of days gone by. The quiet sandy stretches are perfect for beach days and water sports, surfing, kite surfing and rowing.
Deep in the countryside you can find Exmoor Zoo and the Gnome Reserve as well as the Big Sheep and the Milky Way two theme parks where you can meet aliens and feed lambs.
Once home to Charles Kingsley, the famous author of “The Water Babies” and “Westward Ho!” this charming port and market town has a wealth of shops and a famous pannier market, where locals sell their delicious home grown produce, arts and crafts.
You might like to wander along the impressive Quay, taking in the stunning riverside views, or stroll through the narrow lanes, browsing the boutiques and high street shops at your leisure. Our collection of Bideford holiday cottages offers you all of this on your doorstep
