Located in St. James, Hummingbird Cottage is a stone and wooden building built in a fenced garden just less than six hundred feet from the beach. It offers gracious living - Caribbean style. The traditionally inspired architecture features a spacious verandah in a local neighborhood near the Caribbean Sea. The interior layout is equally roomy with an kitchen, dining and living room. The two bedrooms have Air conditioning.Hummingbird Cottage has been newly refurbished in 2014. It is a special place for quiet relaxation, read and enjoy the beauty of Barbados.The interior consists of spacious living/dining areas and bedrooms, all delightfully furnished. There are also facilities in place for high-speed internet suitable for those wishing to surf for pleasure. Private and securely positioned centrally within beautifully garden.Spent your dream holidays and you will never forget the beauty of the Barbados Island.

Getting around

On the West Coast of Barbados there is ready access to shopping, dining, attractions and local markets. Car hire is not necessary but very easy to arrange if desired. Close proximity to Holetown and Speightstown shopping areas. Supermarkets, Nightclubs and Cinemas are less than 5 mins drive away. Restaurants, bars and a neighborhood grocery store are located within short walking distance. Also close to National Parks, Tennis Courts, Golf Courses and Polo Stables. The Cottage is conveniently located near bus route. Parking is also available.

Interaction with guest

We are a phone call away. If there is anything you need, we can be reached 24 hours a day by phone or email. For an additional charge we can also arrange to have a housekeeper clean and wash laundry. (We know how many towels get used). The neighborhood is residential, quiet and peaceful.   Groceries delivered directly to your holiday apartment - prior to you arriving. Simply tell us what you want, and we will shop for you.  Airport pick up and/or drop off can be arranged upon request. Tour guide, baby sitting and maid services can also be arranged at an additional cost.

“A spacious & comfortable hidaway”

This was our first time to Weston , having stayed in Fitts Village many times.The cottage was everything & more to how it was described. The beds were the most comfortable & all the living area was light & spacious. The bathroom & kitchen were on the small side but adequate. The garden was a delight which backed on to some fields that had bananas & various other things growing. There was a resident cockerel plus various wildlife that visited. The amenities were close to hand, the beach was beautiful & quiet & the buses on the main road plentiful. The cottage was about a five min walk to the main road which ensured a quiet location but if you have any difficulty walking uphill then it would be a slight problem . If walking is your thing then this a perfect rental with no car required.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
