From the reception hall, double doors open on to the summer sitting room with large french doors doors opening on to the garden. A central fireplace creates an attractive focal point to the room with openings on either side, leading through to the cosy winter sitting room and beyond to the study.

First Floor

The galleried landing leads to five bedroom suites including both principal and guest suites. Accessed by way of north and south landings, this allows the bedroom accommodation to be divided between family and guest accommodation or alternatively giving older children a greater degree of independence if desired.

West Stoke is in a great spot to access a number of facilities, particularly the nearby Goodwood Estate. The house itself is located right by Kingly Vale, renowned for stunning country walks and views of the south coast. The beautiful countryside of the national park is on your doorstep with a wide choice of footpaths, bridle paths and plenty of opportunities for cycle rides.

Goodwood is internationally known for its racecourse, but it also has two golf courses, a health club and a private members club called The Kennels. For non-golfers, other activities include clay pigeon shooting and tennis, not forgetting the exciting Festival of Speed and the Revival, both great days out for friends and family, not just motor enthusiasts.

In the adjacent village of Lavant there is a large horse riding school with opportunities to go exploring the South Downs on horseback.

Chichester harbour is only a few miles south with plenty of lots of water based activities on offer, in addition to the the sandy beaches of West Wittering which are only 11 miles away.

“Superb House”

I stayed at this wonderful house with beautifully well kept gardens for a period of 4 nights/ 5 days. We have stayed here previously when doing a Goodwood Show stand. As before it was so lovely to be able to come back to a comforting warm home with sufficient space for those with families and those without.

We booked a long weekend at Goodwood in August- four families (we all have young children ranging from 11 months to 4 years old) and had a fantastic time. The house is beautifully designed for large groups, very spacious and really well decorated, and everything seems to be brand new! Check in was smooth, and when there was a slight problem this was rectified almost immediately and efficiently. There was so much space that even with so many people it never felt crowded, and the house was well equipped. I can't recommend it highly enough, and we hope to return someday.
